Extract from Porsche GB Approved Warranty terms and conditions.

Porsche Taycan Taycan battery IMG_1066

The key words here are “which if fail due to wear and tear will not be covered by Your Policy”.

The description of approved warranty cover used in email correspondence sent on behalf of the Porsche GB CEO is shorter and less favourable than the terms and conditions of the GB contract - but may be in line with the US contract extract which you have posted. The GB CEO’s reply states:
“batteries are considered a wear and tear component, therefore would not be included within the Porsche Approved Warranty”

…. Will GB Porsche Approved Warranty claims assessment use the CEO team’s words, or the terms and conditions contract words? What constitutes normal wear and tear of a HV battery beyond 8 years or 160,000 kilometres? Dialogue is ongoing to attempt to resolve this.

Approved Warranty Leaflet, featuring Taycan pics. The wording here also does not match the terms and conditions

That list makes me laugh....

I can imagine going to buy a used Taycan.
Choice of two - similar spec, but each has a single fault not covered with extended warranty, so you ask the salesman.

'This one has got a major fault with the main battery, and this one needs a new wiper blade (passenger side).
Take your pick'
?
