This one might be even cleaner. Let me know if you want it adjusted, reconverted, etc.

I do this kind of stuff all the time. I use similar techniques for projects with my laser cutter and my vinyl cutter...

Keep on "Making" !

How about this one? Nice and big (1387x356) , 2 colors, clean, easy to vectorize...

That is nice to cut out and fix on the wall! Well done. If I may I will also try to use that file and bring to a CNC cutter here! If I can find a good one

CNC Router to make a nice wood cutout. Put standoffs and LED lighting behind the wood so you get a nice back lit aura...

...or use a Laser Cutter and do the cutout in colored acrylic. Put lights behind that and get a nice colorful sign.

(I like lights)

...or use a vinyl cutter to cut out the letters. Do it with adhesive vinyl and you can put it on any smooth surface (like a glass window or even the trunk lid of your Tesla). Use heat transfer vinyl and a heat press and put it on a T-Shirt.

All from the very same CAD file! Get MAKIN' ! Use your Covid downtime to learn some new skills. Show us your projects!

I'm expecting someone will want a "Taycan Turbo S" variant...

OK, here is an archive of DXF Cut Files. You can use these to make Wood Cutouts (CNC Router), Acrylic Cutouts (Laser Cutter), Vinyl Cutouts (Decals and T-Shirts), Metal Cutouts (Waterjet or CNC Plasma Cutter), Plastic Logos (3D Printer) and some other cool stuff I'm sure...

There are 4 DXF files in the archive (two of the "Taycan Turbo S" as they are a tiny bit different). Of course each of them is fully scalable (as they are vector format DXF).

...and of course you can combine them. (Like putting the Profile above your desired Name to make a custom T-Shirt!)

Have fun! All I request is that you please post photos of anything you make so we can all enjoy your projects!

As a test, I just made a T-Shirt using two of the above files (My car is Red so...)

Maybe next time I should make the profile a bit larger and leave it on the front ... while moving the name to the back of the shirt. That might be more "classy"... Hmm....

Anyone who wants to do this can do it pretty inexpensively. Again, maybe a new hobby to hold your attention during the Covid lockdown?

Once you get the equipment, you can make T-Shirts (and decals/logos for your car etc) with whatever design you want whenever you want. You don't need to pay someone else to do this for you. The T-Shirts are cheap and the Vinyl is cheap. You can also skip the press and use an iron but the press is well worth the investment I think...

- $340 for a Cameo 4 Vinyl Cutter (Inc starter Vinyl and some really great software)

- $200 for a nice big T-Shirt Heat Press

- $20 for a 3-pack of good quality T-Shirts in whatever size/color you want

(You can also get a Hat Press and make baseball caps...)

Now that you got me started...

Here is another idea. Just in time for Christmas!

1. Get one of these 12" x 2" 12v EL Electroluminescent strips. Blue looks nice!

2. Take the Vinyl Cutter you just purchased simply cause I mentioned it in my last posting... (You did that, right?)

3. Use the Vinyl Cutter software to create a new image consisting of one of the above Taycan logo's centered inside a rectangle the same size as the EL Strip (12" x 2"). Maybe even just a bit larger so you can trim it perfectly later with a razor blade... (You can also get EL Panels in other sizes as well)

4. Run the cut job on some black adhesive vinyl (Oracal 351 comes with the Vinyl Cutter).

5. REMOVE ("weed") the Taycan logo from the inside of the rectangle. Also remove vinyl from outside of the rectangle. This will effectively leave you with a rectangular black mask with the Taycan lettering REMOVED from the middle.

6. Apply the vinyl mask on top of the EL panel and trim away any excess if you made it a bit oversize.

7. Supply 12V to the panel and now you have a fully illuminated Taycan Logo you can put in the back window of your car!

For extra credit, purchase the EL strip in Red and use the 12v brake light circuit as your power source!

(Seriously, if anyone wants to do this I would be VERY happy to provide the file for the Vinyl Cutter Software...)

As a test case:

I went digging for some old 4"x4" (10cmx10cm) EL Panels I had in the attic. They are not very big, but should work as a proof of concept...

I laser cut some clear acrylic to match the EL panel size so I could stick the vinyl mask to the acrylic rather than the panel itself. (This way, I could simply swap out the masked acrylic panels like "slides" rather than committing the EL Panel to a single design...)

...and then put them into a 3D Printed desk stand I designed to hold them in a "frame"

Here is the "Taycan Turbo S" design in the holder, with a pink EL Panel behind it and the lights on so you can get a better view of the holder. The logo is pretty small here:

Here is the "Taycan" design with a blue EL panel in the same lighting:

Porsche Taycan Taycan Font 2

...and with the lights off (Boom!):

Porsche Taycan Taycan Font 3

...and if one makes a couple of Taycan designs, might as well throw in a Nurburgring Track Map as well ;-)

I think I would make the profile artwork a little smaller to give a bit more clearance around the perimeter. However, the lines of the clipart are very fine already. The "Taycan Turbo S" logo is also pretty small so I think the larger "Taycan" logo looks better!

In any case, masking an EL panel seems to work pretty well! The larger 12" x 2" EL strips would certainly make the logo look better. I don't think you would really see the illumination in broad daylight though...

Thank you. The emblem is that one, but looking just for the vector file.

Not able to find out the digital image of the plain "electric" emblem.
Were you ever able to find a file for the "electric" emblem?
