Legally, if they recover the car, it goes back to you. From there it's a pissing match between you and your dealer for damages. Your hope is the dealer wants to "make things right" and offers you a decent amount to buy the car from you, and tries to make you whole.Update:
The detective called and said they located the car in Manhattan on Saturday night. It was parked a block away from the precint. It is on a flat bed being towed back to PA. Weird and strange that they kept using the stolen license plate.s
The dealer had been working with me on specing a replacement. Am I within my rights not to take the car back, and insist on a replacement?
