My video is too large for now.

The car was hit 4/16/2022 intentionally by an enraged person (or child) driving an 18 wheeler with 8 cars on it.

I had the car 6 weeks, 1100 miles

50k repair. Car is 100 % solid. Many due diligence drives!

Porsche had total control of the process and once I relaxed I was fine

Car was repairable and they repaired it. Done... after 2 years

Are you saying that the cost to repair two door panels was $50,000?

Seems to be a crazy repair cost. Was there also damage to the frame from this side hit? The door panels may just be the damage on the surface.
The front quarter scrape seems to be only body work which at $13k and 3 months seems like a nuts price and far too long to get replace the bumper cap and hood. I had a nick repaired in my hood (damaged by Porsche service) which required the hood be repainted but it only took a week to get it back. I didn't get charged.

I’m seeing some of the buyback lemon cars available for upper 60s with low miles for a 2020 turbo there are three or four listed .
With the steep depreciation curve on EV’s are these worth a shot for that price?

To clarify, you’re saying this happened 2 years ago and you just received the car back after repairs???

what kind of compensation did you receive, either from Porsche, your insurance company (due to excessive wait time) or the person who hit you? given how the values have plummeted in that time.

2 years seems absurd, imo.

I’m sorry to hear what happened. Do you have more info? The post doesn’t make sense to me right now. Was the hit on purpose? Why 50k in repairs? Why 2 years? Why posting it now and not last 2 years? Tell us all the gossip!!

where are you seeing these "buyback lemon cars ... for upper 60s [currency? presumably 67k-69k currency units] with low miles".... I can't find anything online in the US for < $77k USD.

Can someone explain why it cost so much to repair both of these cars? Was it more damage than the panels??
Bumper, quarter, headlight (not cheap), a wire harness and a cellular antenna (I believe), paint and labor. Believe it or not, that was 13,000. The delay was parts.
