Does anyone know if you can put Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's on the Taycan. My local tire shop said they can but when I called Porsche all they offered was the Pirelli P Zero, Goodyear Eagle F1, and Continental Contact Pro.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Ideally I can get the Pilot Sport 4S. Had it on my Panamera and really liked them.

Of course you can, but the 4s is not tuned specifically for Taycan, not designed for EV, and does not have Porsche approval. I would call Jim or Luke at Tire Rack for a recommendation.

I guess the question is, if I choose to get the 4s, does that affect my warranty

So what happens 5 years from now? You still going to buy NF0 tires that were designed 10 years earlier? I’m not.
you are right, there will be better stuff then; the decision has to be made now, and I don't think the design date for the 4s is any more recent than the nfo

Upgraded to PS4S (combination of Porsche spec fronts (OE for 911?) and MB spec rears (OE for AMG GT63 I believe) and they have been awesome!

I consider any other dry weather non-track tire a compromise/sacrifice (yes, admittedly I am Michelin loyalist) and, while I understand the broad technical objectives of model-specific tuned tires, I find the overall performance (and wear) characteristics of the PS4S to be superior to any of the NF0-certified options.

Take, for example, the NF0 Goodyear Eagle Sport. While I appreciate it is intended to be an all-weather option, I found its dry performance (on my LA canyons stomping grounds) to be utter garbage - I’m actually shocked Porsche would even equip this tire on the Taycan.

If the choice was between a NF0 PS4S or a standard PS4S, yes, I would opt for the NF0…

Tires for Porsches have a "N" designation, which you should use.
The NF0 Goodyear Eagle Sport is excellent.

For my 21 inch summerset I use the Pirelli P zeros NF0.
For my Vossen 22 inch HF5 set I use Conti sportcontact 6 (non NFO), and for my 21 winterset I use Pirelli Winter Sottozeros 3, N0 rating, not NF0.

Honestly, I think you just choose what u deem best. I had michelin PS4S on my heavily tuned RS5 B9 and they were lovely. Next round I will put Michelins on my 22 inch set, if available In 305-25 and 265-30.

I do not believe Porsche will deny any warranty claim if you use a different rim/tire setup, at least not in Europe with all the consumer rights here.
Anyone had such a warranty discussion with Porsche when using different wheels??

Below the latest...22 inch Vossen HF5.
Will install the billet yellow caps as well as to match with the yellow brake calipers on the TSCT.
