The Taycan is better looking than the 911

It is interesting. Each has a character that is beautiful in their own way. They are my two favorite cars. I went with the J1.1 for it's Mission E looks. That was what sold me on first glance on the Taycan. But the Targa has a beautifu, unique look also. Then there is driving with a "whoosh" or driving with a "growl".

I love the 911 for what it is. But from a pure style standpoint (and I blame the headlights), I can’t NOT see this 2012 VW Beetle:

I'd entertain the 996-onward 911 vs Taycan style debate; not convincing me that a J1.1 OR 1.2 beats out much before that.

The best looking car is MY car, though.

The taycan is one of the best looking EVs, if not cars, on the market. Everything else looks like a jellybean or an egg-shaped SUV. The model S is one of the only ones that come close, in looks at least.

Look at Audi’s new a6 e-tron for example, it looks like a pregnant Ford Fusion.

Car designers seem obsessed with grilles….. even for cars that don’t need them.

Many of my favorite car designs over the years have no grille.

That includes Porsche’s, Corvettes, Trans Am, Dodge Viper, 90s Supra/300zx/3000gt, and even some “less cool cars” like the old Ford Probe GT and early Dodge Avenger. They look great until you go far and end up with an egg (I’m talking about you Tesla!).

For me, it started when BMW released e36 M3 in 1992, it was such a nice looking front bird cage compare with regular 3 series. Then everyone starts get crazy with this design.....

Yesterday and today I saw a gen 1 white Turbo S with Mission E driving by.
Now that the car is on the market for more than five years, the chances you run into them is getting higher.
One thing I can say: DAMN, it looks good!
Its road presence is more impressive and even far more intimidating than a modern 911, a 911 almost looks cute compare to a Taycan, lolz!

I think it was a bit lowered, just like mine.
Now I understand why people still are drawn to it, even today, after five years....
Bikers sitting reversed on their bicycles, children putting their phones out, seeing other drivers look into their mirrors when you are going to pass them and all these kind of things.
Yes, it looks that good!

OP is right, but with the exception of the 993. IMO the best looking Porsche ever made.
