Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum—this is my first post! I did a quick search to see if anyone else had reported a similar TPMS issue, but I couldn’t find anything, so I’m hoping for some advice.

I’m experiencing an intermittent issue with my Taycan’s Tyre Pressure Management System (TPMS) and wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this or found a solution.

The Problem:
While driving, the tyre pressure readings randomly disappear from the display (no values shown, just "--" or blanks). Sometimes they reappear after a while, but other times they stay missing until the next drive. No warning lights or errors appear—just a loss of data. It starded already 1 year ago but very seldom and did not bother me, but now almost daily and it is annoying.

What’s Been Done So Far:
- The car is still under warranty, so I took it to Porsche service.
- They diagnosed and replaced a module (they didn’t specify which module or kind of module it was).
- However, the issue still happens (less often but still there) after the repair.

My Questions:
1. Has anyone else had this TPMS dropout issue? If so, was there a fix?
2. Could it be related to wheel sensors, signal interference, or software?
3. Any advice on how to push Porsche for a proper resolution?

The dealership seems unsure, and I’d love to hear if this is a known problem or if I should escalate it.

- Model Year: Taycan Turbo 2020
- Wheels: 21-inch aeroblades in Carbon

Thanks in advance for any help—I’ll update if I find a solution!

If no other technical issues can be found you might just not display the TPMS data and drive on.

Thanks for the suggestion!
While I could ignore the missing data, I’d prefer to resolve it properly since:
- The system is part of the car’s safety features
- It’s under warranty, so I’d like it functioning correctly
- Inconsistent behavior might indicate a deeper issue (electrical/software)

Has anyone successfully pushed Porsche to fix a similar ‘intermittent’ TPMS problem? I’m curious if this requires:
1. A specific module reflash
2. Sensor replacement (all 4?)
3. A known software update

Appreciate any additional experiences – will share updates after my next dealer visit!"

The dealer should be able to check the battery life of each wheel sensors. The TPMS sensors in my 10 year old Cayenne still test good amazingly enough.

Did you bring it back to the dealer? I'd keep going until fixed as I think you should get this resolved while it is still under warranty. Given enough attempts, you may also have grounds for buy-back offer

I have not heard of that issue here. TPMS batteries don't all die at the same time and then come back to life. I doubt that's the issue. It is likely to be a fault in the RF receiver module or further upstream in the processing. Because it is intermittent, forgive the dealer for not fixing it the first time. What they need is for the sensors not reading while on the diagnostics system there. I.e., that's going to be hard to fix without replacing all the involved components one by one, and then giving you the car back. But you are correct, it is a safety feature in that even if you don't display it, you will get a warning if one of the tires goes low when the system is working.

Thank you, they said they needed more time to deep check the car, something related to the antenna was replaced. Will leave the car on Monday, they can keep it for 3 weeks since I’am abroad. Hope this time they fix it for good, this car is a pain in the a… it as been to dealership so many times, recalls and issues but i still love it.
