Since TYD is unavailable in Belgium does someone knows how to get around this ?

You have to rely on your dealer goodwill unfortunately
My car has been produced on the 20th of May and I have no idea when it will be available ...

That is quite long. Are you sure it is finished? Time to sent a lot of mails and phone calls. They are delivered to D’Ieteren and then sent to the different dealers. It is not really clear in which order this is done but the dealer can ask Dieteren to prioritize a specific car.

It also takes some time for the dealer to prepare the car (Check oil level, fill the gas tank ?). Probably clean it and do some software updates. When I visited the dealer the parking lot always has multiple new cars waiting to be processed by the dealer. I think the more you call the dealer the earlier your car will be taken care of.

I Belgium we have the SYSG: spam your sales guy. Can be done by mail or phone. They know when your car will go into production. You could sent a mail the week afterwards and check if it went into production.

Oh yes I'm sure, I received the email on the 20th of May with the VIN and I've been able to create my porsche account. The car is alive and online. But not at the dealer.
I asked again yesterday and same thing: it is coming but we don't know when and we'll let you know ASAP.

My car should have been finished after multiple delays March 8th. Then delayed again because of the production stop. Then it was scheduled to be finished April 11th. I saw on this forum production had started again. Contacted the dealer April 8th and surprise is was already in Brussels. A week later it was at the dealer and I collected it 2 weeks later but most of the delay was for painting the wheel arches. They had another car also needling the same paint job that got to the body shop before me.

At the end I can’t complain at all. I signed the order beginning of December and collected the car end of April.

Lucky you. I ordered it in October 2021. My friend that signed 4 days earlier already got his car since the 18th of May !

Yes I know I was really lucky. Dealer offered me a really good price for my X5 before delays really started rise and Belgium got 30 extra Taycans for February the end of November. I was ordering when those new assignments where given. When delays started to go up, in order to keep the promised price for the x5 he gave my a production slot someone just cancelled that day. I could still configure it like I wanted.

I was at the right spot at the right time at least two times.

The dealers in Belgium don’t want TYD as they prefer to communicate personally with their customers.
So spam them, call and email all the time.
They still don’t get that we prefer to get a lot of information from any channels than none by people that have less clue than a lot of the members of this forum.
Porsche Germany is not giving them any views on the production except some status but I was kept in the dark for 6 months while my car was half build and at the end they still didn’t say why and what was missing.
I have a good relation with the dealer but Porsche Germany should give them access to their system. This way they would be able to search by themselves instead of waiting that the status changes.
When I empower my users and key-users, they don’t call me all the time when they have a small issue and it gives me more time to focus on other subjects.

What I know is that the Belgium importer has to do some stuff but they can be lazy.
But they only can do it after the production of the car.
