Transmission Failure warning

Hi group. I'm a lurker but have deeply appreciated this forum.

2024 Taycan 4s owner

Yesterday I noticed 4-5 instances of the warming "please place hands on the wheel". Weird. It happens occasionally but this frequently.

Then I got a warning message "Transmission Failure - please pullover".
After stopping and allowing 15 minutes for a system reset I turned the beast on. Message was gone and hasn't returned.

Had anyone else experienced this situation?

Sometimes I wonder how long it will last.

i’ve never seen this before, but I have had the car tell me to put my hands back on the wheel. For example, in a safe situation,I might put the 2021 4s in cruise mode with ALK & LKA enabled and clean my sunglasses. Toward the end of the sunglass cleaning, it tells me to grab the wheel.

Did you have your hands on the wheel when you got the transmission failure message?

I’m curious if the transmission failure message somehow related to your keeping the hands off the wheel.

I was wondering the same thing. I got several warnings in row even with my hands lightly on the wheel.

Since you seem to be back to normal, let us know if it happens again, and what you were doing prior.

if you have one nearby, just go to a Porsche dealer for reading any error code with PIWIS, it may prevent you some more serious problem in near future.
