Two issues within the only first day...

I have same problem with comfort access in a 4S just delivered a few weeks ago. Sales man was stumped too. Have to bring it in for a service to address it.

Not fixed yet. I bring it in on Saturday. Hopefully it will be quick - but a loaner is scheduled so I'm not optimistic.

I have the same issue! Taycan GTS. Comfort access not working. No option to turn it on the PCM. Even confirmed with my dealership. I’m bringing the car in this weekend to take a look at it

Just an update. Car got fixed today!

Issue was the comfort access was not software activated. If you’re at the dealership, tell them to code the vehicle for comfort access. Then function enable it

Mate, I think you quoted the wrong guy. I will only drop off my car to PC tomorrow morning and hopefully get fixed within 48 hours. Will update later.

The latest update for my issues:

1. For the VLC issue, the whole panoramic glassroof has to be replaced, dealership has ordered the new parts from Germany.
2. Smart Access can be activated.

so guys whoever ordered VLC please check all functions work well before taking delivery.

Thanks for the update, but damn about the VLC!! so it can't be fixed by a software reset but rather needed a whole new roof, what exactly did your dealer say about the issue? but dealer should have spotted it during the PDI, no? I just feel sorry about it. and am firmly scared if I should include the VLC, only after 2 seasons I decided to order a new Taycan.

The dealer didn't share any details about why it is not functioning. However, I have done some research about how it works and believe that the fuse/wire to control the last segment could be the reason.

Crap they didn't pick these up in pdi. Supposedly takes nearly a week and the internal charges for it are huge. Sounds more like a f***ing expensive wash!
As comfort access is a FOD option, they should be able to send the code to the car remotely to enable it. I guess at least with the glass roof you can keep your car until the bits arrive.

Yep, I've requested to keep the car until I feel like to replace the VLC roof within the next 3 years.
Even though the last segment refused to work properly, it's still in the original factory condition. I just probably need time to digest it.

not sure how it passed the QA, but it might be helpful to ask the dealer for the exact cause, I mean they should know it, you can also ask the dealer if they know how to replace this kind of roof.

let's say it's the fuse/wire, if each individual rectangle from the VLC is controlled by a separate fuse, this would potentially lead to a higher fail rate, I can't imagine if sth happens after the warranty expired.
