It feels very barebones at the moment, the only thing it allows you to do with the camera at the moment is scan a QR code.
it would be nice if logging would be more verbose, it currently only shows a charging chart over the last 24h.
the Unifi Connect product portfolio and software as a whole is still one giant EA platform it seems.

It also supposed to have wifi hardware but it's not enabled, so currently i hacked around a powerline to ethernet link that works pretty well.

It does what i need it to do which is to restrict access and have only permitted people use it, i really hope they will extend the software to take advantage of the tech.
Thank you! That sucks re: wifi. Quite annoying. I’m glad that at least it restricts usage and that it meets your intended use case.

Powerline!? Looks like a shared garage, does the circuit(s) go back to your own panel where you can actually use the powerline, or some mesh ethernet that you mashed together? Either way just curious, but I suppose that you need connectivity for the unit to work/be updated and have the ability to do access control?

Yeah the powerline setup works really well, i'm getting about 20mbps using it on this long run to my units main panel.

awesome, sounds reasonable. Cool, thank you for posting your experience! Hoping to see this evolve but I think I’m not ready to be an early adopter :)
