UK Insurance - Company Car

I use A Plan premier in High Wycombe. Car on corporate PCP through Porsche. Insurer for the last 2 years has been unphased who is named on the V5. Just under £1000pa each year for 4S, 15 k miles, full business use and a sensible excess. Also this year I am fully comp to drive any car.
Always avoided A Plan in the past, but the premier guys are brilliant.
Have a CT4S locked in and due mid November so will be interesting to see if the premium changes.

Just received my renewal quote from Admiral. Everything the same as last year when the quote on my CT4 was £849. This year they want £1567 an 85% increase !

Same as mine mate..... just got it for £700 from esure flex on gocompare

Not London but West Midlands. My initial quote was for £1760 & by speaking on the phone & shaving a little off my annual mileage they reduced to £1567. Their comment was that the difference in this year's premium almost certainly related to their perceived risk of the car not the driver.

I renewed my insurance in Sept 2022 with Boom Insurance (as a Co car) - it was c£750 (with a tracker).

I think it's a tactic to draw you in - first year premium on a new car, really good premium. On renewal they sucker punch you.

I'm with Admiral on a multi-car policy - where my new Taycan Turbo was cheaper to insure than my 5 year old Model X.

Go figure that one out.

Call them...mine was similar crazy increase...apparently done automatically by computer! I ended up paying less than previous year...go figure that out?!

To the best of my knowledge this is now against the law. Start a quote online if you can and see what they offer a new customer

Admiral website direct £1450
Clean licence, no accidents, driving 30 years ….. all no claims on other vehicles, so starting fresh….. Car is Company owned.

Thought worth a go so tried Go Compare and got Admiral Platinum for £806
10k miles , wife insured , business & personal use… there was other levels with Admiral cheaper but happy to have premium cover……. Even got £32 through Quidco…. So overall happy…….. plus will move other vehicles over to them for multiple policy , when due

It has just occurred to me that in all the comparison searches that I have just made Admiral does not feature in the results. I suppose that is because the sites get a commission on moving you to a new provider. This makes it difficult to get a new virgin quote from Admiral since they can immediately recognise you as an existing client.

It is interesting that you got a quote in the £8 hundreds as was my previous years figure but Admiral direct approx. £1500 as is my renewal figure
