UK order status and delays?

TH - definitely will be happening IMO. I strongly suspect the time lag between people getting the call will be down to dealers going down their lists.

Usual perusal of the approved used list and there's a frozen berry GTS on there that's almost at list now (list is 127k for the spec, sticker price is 129k). Now, the colour is a bit choice, and there are usual spec oddities of demo cars (no 4+1 but passenger display, HUD and more carbon than anyone needs etc). But just a few months ago, that sort of price wouldn't have been heard of.

I looked at that GTS a while ago, I like the colour, and whilst it otherwise had a spec I didn’t want it was around £150k and a wait because it is a demo car.

I hate to say it, but you seem to have had some rotten luck with your order. Great that you are picking it up after all this time later this week.

Yep used prices were in a hyper bubble and if something rockets that much for arbitrary reasons, it will nose dive equally quickly. Just how the universe works.

In fact we might see a small period where used prices plummet well under normal depreciation curves for the same laws of economics that saw them shoot well over... before reverting the mean and moving higher again to "normalised" used prices.

As you have found, we are seeing the first signs of that with used prices.

I wonder if a lot of salary sacrifice/company car orders were cancelled because of the economic climate, plus those needing to finance were put off paying £18k+ interest over 36 months.

I was anticipating that scenario + Porsche wanting to rush out orders before recession hits and there's an order cancellation bloodbath.

Doesn’t take much to flip the scales. Feeling a bit deja vu of late 2008 / early 2009 car market in some ways now.

I've asked to collect mine on the Winters and have the Summers delivered to me. Guildford used to store them but they've stopped while doing a massive refurb over the next year or so. They were sent out to everyone earlier this year.

My car has apparently cleared PDI in Sheerness this morning and should arrive at the dealer some time next week. Amusingly Porsche can be very exact, to the hour, on when I will get an invoice though. Anyway looks like Dec 8/9 for me, thank goodness I'm abroad for 4 days in between, might take my mind off it.

Looking forward to seeing photos of your car in the meantime Frank, enjoy tomorrow!

Wow that is a slow trip from arriving in Sheerness, as Frank said probably due to high volumes atm.

Well just found out that my CT Turbo S is now with the dealer. This was despite me being told it was in Emden about 2 days ago!! ha. Car completed on 21/11, so all fairly quick for the process of getting it to them.

I'm not going to complain, but now with the dealer and arranging delivery. Delighted is an understatement!

Collected my Taycan CT 4S from Richard at Porsche Belfast, great handover as always. Was a long wait but well worth it., looking forward to a proper run out when the weather improves a little

Excellent progress!! My 4S CT was completed on the 18th November, it was still in the Kornwestheim compound on 21st but PRG advised it was complete, nothing showing as missing and due to be in Sheerness by 25th. I have just emailed my SA for an updated screenshot... hopefully it will be in Reading any day
