UK order status and delays?

Production date 13th October ( 2023 before you ask ?)
Date to dealer 24th November ( 2023 hahah)
Fingers and toes crossed we get delivery for this Christmas. We are really getting excited now.

On another note who have all used for home charging install? Any recommendations? We are in Worcestershire.

I bought a Zappi from an online retailer for a reasonable price and used a local trusted electrician to install it (Dan - https://lek-trix.co.uk/ Worcester might be a bit far from Bristol though).

I used Octopus Energy who installed a Ohme Home Pro, this allowed me to move to their Octopus Intelligent tariff which provides 7.5 pence per kw between 23:30 to 05:30 for ALL power used, so car plugged in, dish washer and washer/dryer all on benefitting from the low kw cost/tariff.

Good luck! Mine went through pretty smoothly too. Now you need to see if your dealer can beat my 1 day PDI turnaround It arrived with the dealer right at the end of the day on Thursday, and I picked it up 9am Saturday morning!

Just wondering how long people have experienced for their cars getting from the docks (Sherness in my case) to the dealer. Im current waiting for it to be loaded on a transporter, but its been like this for 10 days?

Any recent feedbacks welcome

Excluding any faults or recalls - for me it was approx 2 to 3 weeks to ready for pick-up. Factors were shipping arrival to transporter available alignment, dealership location, PDI time/availability.

…a new factor to add that there seems to be a lot of Taycans now at dealers waiting for PDI, been to a few dealers on my travels, (charging) and note all had quite a few Taycans which were obviously awaiting ‘unpacking’ as they had the shipping protection/packaging still on them…..so could be a longer wait to get PDI done quickly!

Plus a lot of used/pre-owned which could take up time with preparation for sale adding to the queues …..

You seem to have a grasp on your timescales so can I ask did you get production photos and where in the process did you get them? My car is meant to be production complete on Friday but not received them yet.

my car was due to complete build on 27/10 but up till today, I've had no emails, tracking, build photos for my order.

that being said, today I've had an email to 'activate my taycan' and been able to link my car to my Porsche ID. I can finally see my car, VIN and spec in my Porsche but error showing not remote access.. this makes sense as I assume it needs to be enabled in the car?

what I don't still have was any view on the build progress or photos etc.

I'm not sure if the fact my car has appeared now for 'activation' means my dealer has finally started to get things moving or the car might have made progress to the UK?!

the funny thing is that on the first time of loging in (on the web site not app) I'm greeted with a warning that the car is subject to a safety recall for WPN8 ? .. if only I knew when I was getting the car!

also, the description for the recall doesn't quite match the title! :

in other news, I'm sat in the Hilton Silverstone with a room overlooking the starting grid and looking forward to the PEC experience day in the wet tomorrow!

Ahhhh nice. I’m booked in at Silverstone end of Dec and hoping to be able to go in my Taycan.

I’ve had my VIN for a couple of weeks but nothing else yet. Does sound like yours is close.
