Every year on renewal I end up having to phone Admiral as they up their price, they then reduce the premium and I feel content  . It's like an annual event for me :).

Let's have a look and see what we can do.'

Where is everyone getting their insurance from these days in the UK? I'm almost 50 and struggling to get a quote under £1000, and a lot of insurance companies won't even entertain my business (Direct Line). Clean license held since I was 17, I did have a car stolen a few years ago but have owned other performance cars since and haven't seen anywhere near £1000 before.

EV batteries are to blame (apparently) - disproportionately expensive and generally can't be repaired if damaged going over a speed bump or similar. In some cases the battery pack can make the difference between being an economic repair or not (write-off).

Most insurance went up 20%+ this year regardless.

I'm still with Admiral.
Renewal came in (surprisingly) competitive this year. No idea how......sure it won't next.

Nowadays, it seems to be there's nothing going down in price - except assets......which are plummeting.

Admiral (multi-car policy).

Due for renewal next month. Dreading it honestly, from what I've read the last few months.

Last year (first year premium) was quite sensible for the Taycan. In fact it was cheaper pro-rata than my then 5 year old Tesla. Go figure

I cancelled a Defender 90 last month 1) due to spiralling insurance and 2) as a change of heart towards a Taycan (due to spiralling insurance making me reconsider). At the time of Taycan order, September 15th, my CT4 quote was £880 (51, full NCD), nearly half that of the Defender. Car ordered with December delivery estimated. When I ordered the Defender in May it was £734, and doubled by September

Reading what I've read since I genuinely daren't run a quote! I have a Velar which is insured until 24 December and that has just become ludicrous hence too and don't think my existing provider will insure (Hastings). Really concerned about this - but the industry are genuinely taking the proverbial

I’ll let you know what this years premium is in a few weeks.

Last year it was £1017 (pro rated) on driveway in N1, London. SDP&C with 23 years NCB on the accompanying Model X.

Model X sold last week. There’s a Genesis GV60 Sport Plus coming onto the policy week after next. So who knows what the pixies will spit out of the wheel of fortune ?

£1227 but that is Multi-car and includes wife's BMW X2 and business use on both and add ons* (protected NCD, legal expenses etc).

*Top tip from me is seriously consider add-ons for insurance policies. They often cost buttons, but are often what you use.
Eg Accidental damage on house policy. Never had to claim for the main item (subsidence / fire etc) - but have claimed £££s a few times over the years for damages.

I'm getting quoted £2k for my Turbo S via my ltd company... WTF!
I have just recently got my insurance sorted for £2800 for my Turbo S, owned by my company, 20 years plus no claims, clean licence, I have noticed when the car is owned by the company the premium shoots up. It’s madness, I was paying approx £400 for a new Range Rover sport prior to this.

Same with anything that has 'business' added to the name.

Banking to name an obvious one.......

Get shafted on a 'business current acc' compared to a personal account with same bank.

I also live in a safe area, but only 5 years no claims (not a bad driver, just never needed a car previously :)). I was with Admiral, they quoted £1200 to renew. Got them down to around £1k.
After some phoning around I went with eSure for a lot less, £681 (like for like policy inc breakdown cover).
