My Taycan (GTS ST, 15 months old, 11,700km) has started making a sound (a bit like a cymbol being hit or the air brakes on a truck) when I set off at the start of a drive. It's definitely coming from the rear, but it's hard to detect whether left or right. The sound seems to be after I release the brakes. The sound does continue even after moving off initially, but I'm not sure for how long as I've only driven it on short (3km) drives in the last few weeks.

Any idea?

Air suspension regulator perhaps. Dealer check would pinpoint.

I may have an explanation. I think the noise I'm hearing is definitely the air suspension. I remembered last night that the lid to the storage area in the boot (trunk) has been open while I've been driving around. Therefore I think it may be that the noise has always been generated, but I never heard it due to the lid of the storage area being closed normally.

I'll go for a drive later, close the lid, and see if the noise is still audible.

I have it too since a couple of weeks. Coming from the back and most of the time while braking or reducing speed. Seems to be only happening the first 10 mins of a drive. It sounds like a city bus when leaving a bus stop.

Edit; I believe it started when I changed my tire pressure for the holiday to the maximum for 4 persons and a full trunk. So never thought anything bad from it until your thread

I love how poetic your description of this noise is....

An update to this. I closed the rear storage lid in the boot (trunk), but the air sound continued.
