If I’ve recently driven my car the Connect app works fine. If I then leave the car for a day or so it will no longer connect to the app and I get this message:
Porsche Taycan Vehicle Not Accessible message – Car keeps losing connection thumbnail

I don’t understand why the car decides to become uncommunicative. It’s as if it goes to sleep after a while.

Please can anybody explain this?

Thanks,

Porsche is having problems with its servers.
Spoke to a Porsche mechanic today.
My car is in the shop for three days now as it doesn't recognize my ID anymore.
I don't have any connection to the car and the car doesn't have any connection to the internet or Porsche-server either.
It's a known problem and they are working on it.

Try first to logout from the app, then log back in. Most of the times there is no problem with the car, there is a problem with the software.... This directly from Porsche Germany.

The other possibility is you don't have connectivity in your car - that is a bigger problem and will require a visit to the dealer

Thanks for the replies. I have tried logging out and in again and it makes no difference.

Hopefully it is a Porsche Server problem. If I get time I'll drive the car again tomorrow and see if afterwards it will connect again. And then see how long it takes until it won't connect...

I'm having the same problem but the app can pick up my charge status from the car. I called Porsche and have support ticket about it. Will let you know what I find out. Hope to get an answer by Thursday.

Well what a surprise... I drove the car yesterday and all yesterday evening the app connected to the car with no problem. This morning when I try the app I just get the same "Vehicle not accessible" message again. I have tried logging in and out of the app but that makes no difference. Very frustrating!

Did your dealer tell you what the problem was?

Nope.
Just said they have been having lots of issues with the PCM. They just did a "re set" !.
Mine also loses its settings every now and then. If I set the main screen to show say the battery charge, music and Sat Nav, it will stay like that for maybe a day or so, but then revert back to its original settings.

Sounds as if it needs more than a re-set. Oh well, I'll just add this to the bug list I'm compiling and maybe by the time we're out of lockdown and I need to use the car more regularly Porsche will have come up with a proper fix.
