What comes after the J1 and J1+? SSP?

I really enjoy the Taycan. I wonder how much of the feel and ride is attributed to the J1 platform vs other components and exterior great looks.

I read somewhere that Porsche was saying J1 innovation/iteration is basically done.

With the no yet EV coming … Will a move to SSP make the Taycan just another EV sedan in next generation? I read somewhere the SSP will be used for the 3 row SUV… doesn’t sound super sporty.

I am curious what about the J1 is limiting them to iterate more?

I also saw Porsche hedge on gen 2 not getting solid state batteries…

Because they are not ready for commercial use, and won't be in the next 5 years.
Anyone that says otherwise, it's all bullshit talk for investors in their start-up or low volume lab experiment.

CATL, the biggest manufacturer and industry leader says best case scenario says 2027 for small scale production. The reason is that before they reach mass production, they need to be able to manufacture a battery that reaches an equilibrium of charging speed, life cycle, size and cost. On a scale of 1 to 9 of maturity of technology, CATL says they are on 4 - so anyone claiming to be ahead of them is only in a laboratory.

The next platform for porsche will be the one used for 718 EV - and it's in development hell.

The platform for Macan and Cayenne EV is an Audi platform, not a porsche platform.
