The OEM should be fine if put on the correct way round. Some folk put the bars on back to front which led to damage on the rails.
Interesting, cuts the fear a bit!
I can find gently used Aeroblades for 40-50% less than the dealers' willingness to give me 15% off OEMs, is there a reason to buy OEM over Thule? (I've read the comments in the forum, but I'm still not sure which way to go)

No real reason and I suspect Thule make both. Personally, I've always chosen Thule for my Porsches apart from one (original Cayenne S many moons ago).

There is a thread which discusses issues with the cross bars and mistakes made when fitting which led to damage.

I was able to see aero blades on a Taycan CT and it looks very well designed and fitment was great. IMO aeroblades advantage is the lower profile design.

I've mounted and dismounted my OEM bars probably 10 times by now, and I have it rehearsed such that I'm confident on not scratching the bars. I also use painters tape to ensure that.

OEM fitment is tight and perfect. The only downside is the end covers do not fit perfectly unless you apply pressure to the cover when you lock it in. Otherwise there will be a small seam.

Curious about your drop in mileage

Do you have a sense of the loss from:
1) just the bars
2) bars and roof box

On 100% charge, in winter, the guessometer is estimating that I will arrive at 27%. My gutometer is telling me that a roof box in winter will need a charging stop for safe arrival.

Clearly the bars will contribute and then add a box on top ain't going to help with range.

There is an aero box but...
