Traffic Alerts. Touch it and it will advise on road works, detours, queuing traffic etc. Only appears when NAV is operational from memory.

It wasn’t. It didn’t seem to relate to any traffic.

Its traffic/route advisories on route when you have an active destination in navigation. Not necessarily immediately where you currently are.
