I never liked the old Model S, still dont but I do like the new design (the new interior too) but I wouldn't buy it.
So I think I won't like the new Taycan till the end of days.
My point was the people who who liked the old Model S in the first place, eventually changed preferences to like the refresh look better. You obviously don't fall into that pattern for Model S since you never liked the old one. You do however like the old Taycan, so same as people who liked the old Model S, will probably learn to like the new one. Not a guarantee of course, but this thread and opinions like yours reminds me of threads I used to read on Tesla forums after the refresh came out.

This debate is also very much academic. On the road is hard to spot new from old. Also there is a fraction of new Taycan on the road than it was before. In darker colours pretty much difficult to spot the facelift. Old owners looking for an alternative, there is not really any alternative on the market similar to the Taycan. Even if depreciation is a killer in a few years when I am going to look to replace gen one probably I will choose again another Taycan. Recently the market has shown no, or little interest for luxury EV. It could be also the last Taycan for a while this one.

I drove the refresh at the Porsche Experience centre and was sceptical but it’s grown on me and difference in front end looks is not an issue, although the rear vents on the Turbo are just plain awful.

Irrespective of looks, since release around 6 months ago, I haven’t seen a single refresh Taycan on the road despite looking hard and that’s in London. It’s clear Porsche has a problem with selling it exacerbated by the unexpected sales success of the original.

Most likely will not get a new one unless they bring back Mamba Green Metallic
Given car market is not booming, you might be able to negotiate MGM included in the price (Paint-To-Sample option).
