Wrap or paint door handles?

I m thinking of customizing my icegrey CT by wrapping in black gloss the door handles but i m wondring if the comfort access with the sensor which you can touch with your finger on each handle will work properly after the wrapping?Any experience of that?As i saw in some videos is extremely difficult to take off the door handle and paint it separately

I wouldn't personally and view it as a custom step too far.

When I bought my 2022 Taycan, it was fully PPF'd. The door handles had small cutouts where the door lock sensors are. That may not be viable if you're talking about wrapping it a different color.

Don't do it. I'm not a fan of contrast painted door handles on Taycan.

I have ppf over the whole door handle and it works fine.

Like the others, however, I wouldn't change the colour. Each to their own, but I think they look better body coloured.

I will say, if I had a black roof (or the sunroof option), I would love matching door handles. I think this looks sick. Unfortunately I feel like on my car it wouldn't look that great because my roof is the same color as the car...

Yes, people like different thing, shocking

Taycan already has many black accents & many black plastics. Stripe for charging door, window trim, door pillar, air vents, front & back trims, mirror middle piece, panormaic roof looks black from outside. And a lot of people take black wheels. The door handles being black, matching the contrast theme of black and white of the concept of taycan, would hardly be controversial.

I'd wrap them - its reversable and will cost less. Mine came painted black from factory and love the contrast.

I wrapped mine in gloss black. It's pretty easy being such a small and flat surface. Just get a sharp exacto knife and a hair dryer, then watch a YouTube video or two.

I must have missed the bit where the OP asked for approval, but anyway I'll contribute to the unsolicited opinion poll ? - I approve of black handles, I think the more elements that contrast with the body colour, the better.

I’d like black handles even more if I didn’t see every Tesla on the entire earth with black handles.
