Hi everyone , just bought a TAYCAN , 2023, RWD and I have had it for about 2 months and 2 times in that time, a yellow turtle pops up on the dash when I try to accelerate , it will not let me accelerate. First time I fixed it by charging the car and it went away. Second time now, I’ll try that again but what is the issue here? Please help. Thank you!

What is your battery temperature?

This happened to me once when the battery got too hot (very hot day, very hard driving.)
It recovered when it cooled off.

Not hot or anything out of the ordinary ,
Around 30 degree Celsius which is what it is usually.

This happened to me a couple times within about a month. Both times I parked it and locked for at least 30min. Both times that fixed it and it hasn't happened again, been a couple years prob.
I hope your issue is that easy...

Please check your battery temp in the right tube.
It could be that one or two cooling fans are kaputt.
That would make the battery temp rise even in normal driving conditions.

This can also happen if the electric motor over heats. When driving on extremely hilly roads with steep grades, the motor will overheat if you leave the cruise control on because the motor is working to slow the car on steep downgrades. It's regerating, but it is over working the motor. When I drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff, which has an elevation change of about 5000 feet in 90 miles, I coast bown hill and manually brake as necessary to keep from over heating the motor. It is still regenerating, but not constantly for long periods.

Interesting fact!
No such topography anywhere near me, but will remember when going for a serpentine-tour in the alps.
