Ask your dealer!
That is unlikely to get any meaningful answers I suspect. Sky News had a piece last week showing Porsche as one of the companies getting wiring looms from one of the big suppliers in Ukraine.

Porsche dealer advised my lease company that there is 'no information from Porsche saying production will be suspended'.

My car was ordered 7 days after Russia invaded Ukraine and dealer was advising 12-15 month lead times.... but... 3 weeks before the invasion another dealer, where I went see the car, was advising 6-9 month delays... so something doesn't add up...

My car entered the production line last week as per planned dated before the Ukraine crisis. Update today, completion date is pushed back 4 weeks from 18th March to 15th April.

If the lead time was 12-15months, they should have MY23 or even MY24 in the configurator now.

Unlikely and historically never happened for other long lead Porsche cars.

What you can do is wait for the allocation and then lock down much closer to the time and elect whether to go MY23 / MY24.

If MY24 is closer to expected delivery I would wait for that as there is likely to be a mid life refresh.

In my case, I am still waiting for an allocation. It's been 9 months and no sign of one - I used to ping sales people with whom I am on waiting lists once every month or two, but they've started ghosting me, probably because they don't think it's ever coming (or perhaps they no longer work there). Most of them have yet to deliver even a single Taycan Turbo CT ever, so perhaps understandable they are losing interest in selling Porsche vaporcars - zero commission potential selling vaporcars.

Yeah that's a real problem and fairly common.

My local dealer typically has no new cars (any model) or allocations to sell for all of this year and 2023. 2nd hand stock is all they have but I guess margins are higher on 2nd hand which keeps their interest up.

Odd situation indeed.

You can't help but wonder, where are all the cars going? Porsche had a record year last year in terms of deliveries, so is it that they created a car with more demand than they can handle? Victims of their own success?

I ordered the Taycan without ever driving one (still haven’t). The only cars the dealer had to even look at were the salesman’s personal ones…..

Very much so now compounded by a war, sinking ship and general semiconductor issues.

Not a mass market producer remember.

Something like that. Your right, Porsche has made record number of cars last year, almost all models produced more then planned stretching to the limit the production capacities and doing similar this year. Demands are high on specific markets with strong buying power like UK, China and NA.
VW group made 20 billion EUR profit that is double of 2020 and higher than 2019 (18,4 billion) pre pandemic result. Porsche made 16,5% margin on the cars that is crazy high on the market.

In fact, 'high life' markets are tripled the demand that is simple not possible to cover with the existing producing capacity.
Victim is not Porsche (never made more money than nowadays) but people from high demand markets whose can’t get an allocation.
I think demand is not created by Porsche but by growing cash on the bank accounts caused partly by pandemic. People were not able to spend their cash for travels, hotels, restaurants etc.

'Low life' market:
In my country the -only one- dealership is not able to sell all the cars year by year for the local market so "grey" companies are selling back (reexport) 50-60% of the cars for Western-Europe as a 'used car'. Locals like me are able to get a car in 3-6 months, allocations are available, although halts are influencing waiting times as well.
Local dealer has 10-20 new stock Porsche right now, incl. 5-8 Taycans. Situation is similar in all Eastern European countries.

In my case I have ordered a Taycan GTS late Feb with allocation (production) week 19.
According to my recent info, it is not changed/delayed yet since Russian allocations (26 dealerships with high buying power) will be shared back to the remained market.
Pre order has been made late Nov21.

Interesting. I wonder if the Russian orders get canceled will it make up for the FA vehicles lost and zero out?

It is not just about the recently 'cancelled' orders. They would order continuously in the coming months but can't obviously. So these future Russian allocations (from 26 dealerships) will be available too, at least for a (long) while.
Unfortunately Ukrainian allocations will be also reorganized, they are momently not lucky enough to think about Porsches.
