please elaborate, gainsville is on the outer edge of my driving area

The EA stations in the Butler Plaza on SW 42 St.(Target) had only 2 that worked, and one was tied up with an older gent (lol me too)who wanted 100% on his vehicle. Could not get customer service on phone as lines were very busy, and my friend with the turbo S was kind enough to spend 10 minutes or so, trying different things to get one working for me. My app did not work (or more likely I had done something wrong) & the unit would not take my credit card until I finally was able to connect to an operator who reset it for me.

Same happened to me a week ago - plug&charge doesn't work, Porsche Connect doesn't do anything, all credit card payments fail, EA mobile payment fails. EA customer service eventually starts a paid session

Paid session?

EA customer service should (and consistently has for me) start a free session when they see you're in a Taycan.

Call EA support, tell them the Porsche app is not working and they are supposed to start a free session for you.

that is how it should work but sometimes you cannot get EA on the phone and more importantly it is possible that the OP has one of the cars afflicted with the 19.2 kw software conflicts that hasn't had the patch applied.

The 19KW charger was not available in the configurator when I ordered back in March, so just my error(s) I imagine. I'll get her done soon. And, no free charging plus they put a $50 hold on my c/c after I was able to talk to an operator. Beats walking tho.

Ah….Gainesville FL brings back memories of my time as a Gator. Does Butler plaza still have that seedy looking Walmart? I hear it’s all upscale now. Used to stay on campus at Corry and Maguire villages.

To be honest, there was so damned much shopping traffic, I did not notice. Guess everyone is loading up on toilet paper. General look of the center was clean and well kept tho.

I've used the Gainesville chargers several times over the last year. I've never been unable to get a charge but I've had a few multi-attempt/try-a-different-charger sessions.

I found at least part of my problem is that my techie did not check the box for plug and charge, and I was too dumb to check it. Live and learn. They did, however, release the $50 hold on my credit card on monday, so I presume they checked my name against their data base of Porsche subscribers.

and then you need to recheck every once in awhile to be certain that the configuration hasn't "magically" changed. in addition not all EA chargers are plug and charge capable.
