Hi all,
I’m looking for feedback from the taycan forum experts on my build. I think I’ve chosen options that a lot have recommended but I’d love a second opinion.
thanks!

I love the new Spyder wheels. I wish they had been available when I ordered.

I prefer colored wheel center caps, but that’s personal preference. Just make sure you’re aware you’re missing it.

Standard door sills are brushed aluminum. Free option for black brushed aluminum if you’re interested and missed it like I did.

I like the crests on the headrests (only $290 if you do front-only).

Standard interior is nice enough. I’m happy with it.

?

As a side note, I see they finally changed the heated seats description on the configurator to clearly indicate it is optioning in the rear and the front is standard (this used to cause a lot of confusion as it said “front and rear”). Not sure when they changed it as I haven’t looked in a while.

Personally I think it’s worth optioning the 400v Charger - unless I’m am misunderstanding, Tesla opening up the network to other cars might see value in this option at their superchargers.

Thanks! Definitely prefer the color center caps glad you called that out! I’ll also go for the black brushed door sills. I’m on the fence on the Porsche headrest crests though a lot of people prefer them.

My dealer had to point out the center caps to me also, else I would have missed them too.

Headrest crests below. Pretty pretty.

I’ve added this. I like the idea of a bit of future proofing (to the extent one can) to your point.

I think you’ve sold me ? how has your owner experience been so far? I’ve just reached out to dealers assuming it’ll be a long lead time right now.

I want commission. ?

Outstanding. Love the car. No major issues. Would buy again.

Note that I only charge at home and don’t deal with any public charging issues some people report. (And to be fair, some people also report positive public charging experiences)

What’s your thought on adding the 400v charger?

add it - once Tesla Superchargers are open you’ll use the feature more - and it’s a cheap option

400V/150 kW - add it.

I don’t have a specific opinion on this for others.

I didn’t option it on my car and wouldn’t if I were ordering again. But I also don’t use public charging. It has zero value to me.

There’s speculation that it will be useful for Tesla super chargers. But there’s no guarantee on when they will open and if they will support > 50kW for other manufacturers when they do. So, it’s a gamble. It’s up to individuals to determine risk/reward based on their intended use and how they think this will turn out.

That said, if one were planning a lot of public charging, then it’s worth considering.

“cheap option” is a poor argument for me personally because all of the options add up.

Id add the 19.2 kW on board charger if you can home charge, and I really wish I'd got the power charge ports; they also close out the vent at the door that tends to spray road dirt up the side of your car in rain.

Outside of those minor adds, its a great build!

I agree. Add it to get access to the Tesla Supercharger network which will come very handy once your Porsche doesn't have free charging at EA. You will get access to both EA & SC networks delivering at least 150kw of charging power. It's a no brainer.
