Stunning! I should move to Budapest and get this one - tired of being on the 'waitlist' ..
Understandable... Another one will arrive in couple of weeks...
On the other hand my custom specced GTS will only arrive in July (if extra allocation will not appear). That is a MY2023 build.

I know I am in the minority here, and I am biased, but I think the CT looks better. I was hoping the big "rear end" impression I got was just from the configurator and other pics - but this still has it.
I think that the rear end looks bigger (on all but the darkest paint tones) due to 2 contrast elements that have been removed for the ST v CT- not only the plastic arches, but also the shroud over the top of the rear window (gloss black on the CT, surprised that I haven't noticed that as an option on the ST, which seems to only have it in body colour). Those missing elements also leave the side profile looking a bit more bulky to my eyes.

I think you hit the nail in the head. See these two pics (one from earlier in this thread, one random internet pic):

I'm considering wrapping the roof spoiler when I get my ST. I think I prefer it black to blend in with the roof, but I prefer the unshrouded arches. Although in pictures they make the side more of a slab, I think they'll be sweet like the 4 door...

Yes it is interesting, and everyone's tastes differ of course, but I still like the contrast of the attached plastic on mine despite being painted body color - the extra dimensionality they provide breaks up the sheet metal continuity you see with 'sedan-stye' fenders (to my eyes at least) - some owner bias here I'm sure :).

Sorry need to get a better rear angle view for proper comparo!

Last Friday @ Porsche Colchester.

Cherry metallic. Stunning in the metal.

Racetex interior is also superb.

I’m really liking the wider rear end look without the CT plastic fenders. The rear shoulders have some really nice curves and the ST look accentuates that. On lighter coloured paint, there’s also more contrast with the wheels so the wheels appear larger than when they’re surrounded by the plastic CT trim.

My CT with plastic removed:

edit:
For those who are picky about phone pics I was thinking the same thing when I posted above 1X pic. And 2X taycan from the same perspective below.

That's a great comparison (which incidentally makes me wonder if I'm overdoing it with gloss black handles on my CT build).

I think a lot of the pics you see of the Taycan are taken with a smart phone. Smartphones all have fish-eye lenses to get people in shot easily. They always mess with the perspective. I can't stand seeing it! you can't un notice it when you see a car taken with a proper lens.

It does look much better in those pictures taken "with the proper lens". Thanks!

Sorry to disturb you with my pics.
‘Can’t stand seeing it’ so don’t see.
It is a forum not a car magazine.
Note:
Photos have been taken by iP13 Pro, that has 3 lenses.
Fish Eye one is only in use when the ratio is changed bellow 1,0.
The ratio was 1,0.

Those photos are all taken from very different angles. The car's bound to look different in them :)
