Possibly a wiring harness given broader dependency on Ukraine for this component.

From Leoni press release:

Leoni is currently working closely with customers and suppliers to cushion the impact of the partial production stoppages that the war has brought at the Ukrainian plants as well as possible for all concerned. An agile and flexible task force has been set up. The group is working practically around the clock, reanalysing and managing as events unfold on the ground. Thus, production has currently restarted at both plants under the strictest safety regulations and on a limited scale – in line with the declared will of the Ukrainian government, the commitment of customers and, not least, the wishes of the workforce. At the same time, other sites in the global Leoni production network have begun to duplicate Ukrainian production capacity to support the plants in the war zone.

I'm speechless. Not that we need a reminder (or perhaps we do) to keep the Ukrainian people in our thoughts and help in however way we can.

My Taycan entered production on 2/28 is likely sitting half built waiting for parts. And that's ok.

 ??
(Less heroically, Renault have apparently restarted production in the Avtovaz car factory in Moscow...they ? own a controlling stake in the Russian manufacturer).

I ordered my Taycan in July of 2021 from Glasgow Porsche (UK) , was told to expect delivery in January. Was then told that it would delayed but be built in March . Received an e-mail yesterday from the dealer to say no way of knowing when the car would arrive, but that it was partially built and ` in the body shop`, but that production had stopped for the time being.
If completion of the car involves getting parts from and putting anyone else in Ukraine at risk , they can keep it.

That's pretty crazy for sure for them to open their factory and go to work given that things certainly aren't any better than they were a few weeks ago. I can only hope that those workers are getting one hell of a bonus. They sure deserve it, even though I'm sure working for a few hours might take their mind off everything else going on.

Being optimistic, maybe Porsche can even parts of the factory up and running again soon if they know these parts might be coming in soon.

In an article they said, that this Bavarian supplier managed to restart 2 out of 3 shifts in their western Ukraine plants. Some workers left to fight the war, others have joined the stream of refugees.

Same situation here. My order date also shows 3/3 on TYD despite ordering months ago. My delivery date has not changed. You can ask your SA to check the PVMS (porsche vehicle management system), where your order date should still reflect January.

I have no plans to abandon my order (my deposit is fully refundable if I wanted to - at least until the freeze date).

On another note, there is still NO evidence/confirmation that Taycan production has come to a stop despite numerous posts here. I called the dealer/ Porsche NA and did not get confirmation of a production stop. Also no word of this in the local Stuttgart news (lived in Baden Württemberg for 30+ years and follow the local news closely)…

I’m in no rush and will try to be patient. After all, the reasons for potential delays are all legitimate…
Here's my situation:

I put my order in in Jan 2022 and have had the Order Created date move twice already; the latest = Mar 3rd. The actual Delivery Date has moved back once (3 weeks); I expect it to move out again since the latest Order Created date was recent. While I am not certain how this all works, I assume the Order Created date is some sort of queueing system before it goes into production.

After speaking w/ my SA, he said Porsche has always price protected orders and is certain they will do the same now. If that's the case, then price hikes might be at the dealer level and my dealer said they don't do that.

With all the events happening recently, I'm starting to question whether to hold steady or just bail and forfeit the deposit. ?‍♂
I have the exact same scenario with a Jan order date, a mid-Feb freeze date (which is when I finalized my build), which mysteriously changed to 3/3 in terms of order date. I can no longer track it because a few days after 3/3 the dates in TYD changed to TBD and I get the constant run-around from Porsche. I have to call my dealer now to understand status….which has pushed out about 2 weeks. Frustrating indeed.

I can't even imagine leaving your skilled job making wiring harnesses (for our cars) to go and fight a war that you didn't want, and which you may very well not return from.

They are very, very brave people.

May their God be with each and every one of them.

My Situation:

Ordered September
Build completed 14th February
Currently sat in the Kornwestheim compound for the last 5 weeks with no updated dates

Cant get anything of any use from Porsche Reading, in fact escalated to Sales Mgr and just been given standard responses that it is due to logistical issues.

Honestly, like everyone else id rather not have it if it means people have to fight a war and possible be killed.

Gutted as this will be my first ever brand new car and i was soooo looking forward to taking delivery but its all a bit of a negative now, whichever way you look at it.

Article is dated yesterday and says production will start again next Monday.
I cant figure out TYD dates. I get past a milestone, in this case early in as my Freeze Date closed earlier this week. Today it says my freeze date is now 3/28? I guess that lines up with restarting next Monday 3/28? I don’t dare make any changes as I’m sure that will certainly change some date….

TYD Dates will say estimated and then eventually update to actual. All estimated dates are on Fridays so may be before or after your actual date happens. Until it turns into an actual date it is just an estimate and is subject to change.

Hi everyone I got a call from my Porsche dealer saying I should get my car end of May when I was spouse to get it end of April so that means it is a 4 weeks delay hopefully
