Mine was about the same, but they covered shipping. My deal was 5% off the base and options.

As the government is trying to persuade people to buy electric cars in the UK, they have provided a £2500 grant towards electric vehicles. They have just reduced this grant, and taken it away for vehicles over a 50k price so the dealerships have mostly rushed to register the builds that have been deposited so people can still obtain the incentive. What rebate?

I stand to be corrected but I believe it’s £3500As the government is trying to persuade people to buy electric cars in the UK, they have provided a £2500 grant towards electric vehicles. Sorry, fat fingers and an iPhone don’t mix!I stand to be corrected but I believe it’s £3500
I actually just looked on gov uk and it’s saying £3000 but I’m sure my dealership said £3500Sorry, fat fingers and an iPhone don’t mix!
It has been reduced to £3000 now, however they should have registered the car on the portal prior to the change so you should get the full £3500I actually just looked on gov uk and it’s saying £3000 but I’m sure my dealership said £3500
any one that had the OLEV grant in place prior to the budget gets 3.5k grant and after the budget its 3k but as you said before its only for vehicles under 50k!!!It has been reduced to £3000 now, however they should have registered the car on the portal prior to the change so you should get the full £3500
No£50,000 cap as long as your dealer registered itany one that had the OLEV grant in place prior to the budget gets 3.5k grant and after the budget its 3k but as you said before its only for vehicles under 50k!!!
I'm expecting Audi, BMW etc to make some lower spec models to get below the 50k cap
They sent me my new schedule with the V- codes. Based on the dates, it’s showing production starting back up on the 17th, and everything after that is on about the same schedule as pre covid. So they’re not showing any delays in transport or shipping (to the east coast). Not sure how likely that is to happen, but it would be good if it did!Interestingly the update I got from my schedule on April 3rd said that my production is expected to be complete by April 17th
I started production on 3/5 and went into a storage compound on 3/17.
So if that still holds, I don't know why my date moved out to July unless there is a shipping delay.
Thanks. They sent me my new schedule with the V- codes. Based on the dates, it’s showing production starting back up on the 17th, and everything after that is on about the same schedule as pre covid. I am not due to exit productionuntil 5/8. I guess I’m getting my car a month earlier because I’m on the east coast.Thanks.
I also am supposed to complete on the17th, but I think I must have missed a shipping window since originally I was mid June, now I am late July.
Hi AM ,Unbelievable indeed it was. The poor guy was so distraught I could hear it in his voice as he thought I was calling and chasing for a refund too! 65% of all dealership orders being cancelled means people are just not willing to splash the cash right now.
There are a few very interesting threads on Pistonheads around cancellations too. All in all the UK seems very under confident on the recovery from this and especially the business owners who are flocking to sell their cars and watches right now to raise the cash for tough times to come.
Hello John,Hi AM ,
With your recent info regarding cancellations — much appreciated.
Could you confirm which Dealership you use and if any Taycan cancellations are available.
Many thanks — please PM if you wish .
Stay safe - Stay well .
