New look on base rims after powder and clear coat - color change

for stock wheels these are, and I am not trying to by hyperbolic or insulting to anyone's tastes - absolutely hideous.

huge improvement with the black add - well done OP.

These are my wheels and sadly I agree! That’s why I am trying to make them look better. It’s a shame they offer these rims for this car!

Those look great! They remind me of the classic Fuchs wheels and you get the benefit of having the lightest wheel and tire package along with nice meaty sidewalls to deal with my home state's potholes!

I loaded up my 22 with options but went with the base rims with a plan of having them redone.

Had them powered and clear coated and love the new look all for $750.

I liked the options that Porsche offered but the cost was not worth it for me knowing I could have the base rim redone to meet my needs.

Hope this helps anyone who has the base rim and wants a better look.

Really nice job on the powder coat. I had the same rims and considered doing the powder coat but I wanted a 20" tire and an open rim to mimic some of the options that Porsche offers.

You mentioned powder coating but it looks like a wrap with the angular edges in the curved areas. Same with the transition into the recessed areas where the nuts are.

Is that just from masking tape?
