Electrify America “Payment Not Accepted” Error

Hi all!

Starting a the 1-year post delivery mark (a few weeks ago), when I plug into Electrify America it says “Payment Not Accepted” rather than beginning to charge.

Tried the typical troubleshooting, booting up from the Charging app and ultimately nothing worked and I was pressed for time so I ponied up and paid $20 to get my charge started rather than calling support.

Thought maybe it was a 1-time issue, but then yesterday same thing happened so I called Electrify America - they starting up a free charge for me but said I had to call Porsche to get the issue figured out. Once the charge started I had time to burn so I called Porsche and they confirmed I had an active profile, everything showed correctly and said next time to take pictures the error message and call Porsche rather than EA.

Now I’m a little concerned so wanted to ask if anybody has magically lost their free charging exactly at the 1-year mark and had to troubleshoot this issue to a resolution?

It’s my understanding you have to log back into porsche.com and renew your charging services. The term is only for a year, but you get the intial term and 2 additional years for free.

Yes, did that piece & Porsche confirmed everything looked correct on the account side, but have still had the error

Log into the My Porsche app.

Click account, charging service.

If you see two contracts listed there, click the "new" one for the next year's term.

Welp that was the only idea I had. Close to my "transition date" there were two different contracts in there and I could select one or the other.
