Yeah we had a receipt and booklet confirming things after the deposit was paid too. It's the finance "quirk" that had us questioning it being in the system as they essentially had no record of us or approval to process the order at their end (despite having the depot cash) in all that time.I started out by working with the General Sales Manager (who responded to my email enquiry) and he's helped direct since then - he connected me with a sales guy who's been honestly great.
Yeah, there's been a bit of a push for finance products with me too - but that's been typical with every dealer.
I did, however, have a receipt for my deposit within minutes of me paying it, as well as a signed order form.
Despite the fact that I'm not buying a super high end car (like the Turbo S) I've been made to feel like a valued customer. I'm sorry that your experience @DynamoCappo hasn't been the same.
PM me if you like, and I'll share the GM's email details - maybe reach out to him?
Point remains though that if my wife doesn't check something, I've no idea when they were noticing it and at what point that would all come to a head.
Might be that they ask HQ for that model and whether the finance is sorted or not doesn't figure in that process as far as the dealership goes. Given the lead times, it's reasonable to assume they've got time to process all that in due course.
I've never felt too pressured on the extras being upsold. The ones suggested were sensible and I've added enough myself to probably limit much push from them to hit a sales value.
I'll drop you a wee line later. Cheers.
