Still no FOB

Hi took delivery of my 2022 Taycan at the beginning of May, and at that time only received one fob. I still haven’t received the second one, and my dealer has no idea if/when i’ll get my second one.

i’m wondering if other owners have received their second fob.

It came from the dealer. The key has to be coded so you have to bring the car in to the dealer to have that done. Porsche may send you an email saying that you key is available, but that doesn't mean your dealer will have it. In my case it was at least 2 months after I received an email from Porsche until my dealer actually had the key.

I received car January and one key. I got email last month saying to contact dealer who can order the key. I bought from out of state dealer and learned that only the dealer you purchased from can order the 2nd fob.

So they ordered it and shipped it to a local dealer who will program it. It arrived and scheduled the programming to coincide with the software update. So will be 7 months with one key lucky not a big issue for me.

There were key shortages in a while. My car was first delivered August 2021 and I received the second key from the dealer in May.

I have no idea how I got two fobs with my October 2021 build MY2022 that I got in December. I feel very lucky because I know some people still haven't gotten them for over a year or they're just getting them.

I took delivery September 2021 and received 1 Key FOB. Received an email in March 2022 that My Dealer had the FOB in the header, but when you read the email it said they needed to order it and would take 1 hour to install. I scheduled my PCM update for next month (6 recalls, though one is the missing phone charger) and asked about the Key. They called back that they have no key and nothing on their system about it. I have the metal part for manual lock, so are the key FOB's generic and just programmed to the car when they get one? New cars are coming with 2 keys; how about catching up on the items you still owe buyers.

Glad to hear that I was not the only one with the email the key was there and then the dealer says they do not have it.

I do not understand how hard it is for Porsche to send the missing parts to the already delivered cars.

I agree….Porsche should prioritize delivered cars and ensure owners get their parts in due course…

I was told at my January 22 delivery that I would be notified when the second key comes in. By June I called and got the runaround from everyone at the dealership. I finally contacted the owner of the dealership about the problem. I was told there was not a campaign for the key and sales screwed up. The owner is a great guy and got my key 2 weeks later.

I am going to put a little pressure on mine to get it before my 9/12 big software update. I am almost a year without. I also asked about the power steering column (I know about the $1k refund) to see if they might go ahead and do it.

Not power steering, powered steering column (lift up and down sideways etc). Chip shortage caused my car to come with manual adjustment. They were supposed to retrofit, now it sounds like they want to just refund $1,000.
