I have been using the timer and charging profile function with 100% success before the uPdate but since the uPdate there seems to be a misalignment with my displayed battery SoC and profile (set for 85%) and timer (set for 85% at 5pm weekdays - which is when I need my car pre cooled and ready with 85% at the latest as I leave work around 6pm).
before the uPdate the car would stop charging at 85% plus/minus 1% , which I took as a reasonable rounding error for the display and was satisfied with it, however, now there seems to be a constant overshooting by 3-4% on a daily basis. Today it was at 91%, which is the highest I’ve seen it. Could there be an issue with the battery or something else? I have a feeling that the service center will say “found nothing wrong” and move me along.
I’ve also noticed that my range has dropped off by 20-30Km since the uPdate.
would appreciate some insight into this.

You have 467 km with 91%SoC and you are complaining?
I haven;t had more than 430km @ 100% SoC before uPdate, while now i’m seeing 375km only….

My complaint is more for the SoC not matching up with the profiles

I know, i just wanted to say, that if i’d see 476km (at 90%SoC), i wouldn;t care how timer works ;)

However after I get to about 30% SoC I have lost 20-30km from this original 476km, same driving conditions and same route

Not noticed any issue with timers and profiles post uPdate but have lost a chunk of range which has recovered slightly.

My car is being serviced next week and have highlighted this as as an issue.

As far as I remember it works like this: If you have set a timer, and after it reached the SoC target, is still connected to the Wallbox after 30 minutes, it will continue to charge further. Sadly I can't find this in the current manual.

That’s not at all how it works on my car. If I set a timer to hit 85% at 7AM it stops at 85% and does not continue charging. Doesn’t matter if it sits for 30 minutes or 3 hours in my case. I can’t imagine what the logic would be to design it the way you describe.

It works that way for a non-repeating timer with no profile. After 30 min, it continues charging.

Ahhhh, that is why. I use a profile with a repeating timer. Any idea what the logic is to keep charging after 30 minutes? I can’t think of a reason why someone would want that.

I’m just speculating as to why, but I think the timer is just expired after 30 min and if nothing else is programmed, it reverts to its default operation of charging to 100%, which is what it does if you plug in without any profiles or timers. If you have a repeating timer or profile, then those are “further instructions”.

That sounds like a reasonable explanation. Still strange behavior but your speculation is plausible.

This only happens if you don't have another timer event e.g. a daily timer.

Single timer event will continue to charge after 30 mins until 100% or the cable disconnected.

From your picture I see that you have pre cool/heat activated. I have had similar experience when I have had both charging to a timer plus precool/heat activated. My normal experience has been that the Timer stops within 1 degree C, but if precool/heat is also activated I have seen up to 4% extra charge. I mainly have needed it to heat the car in colder climates though??

I guess since it looks like you are in the UAE, it would not be acceptable to switch off the preconditioning, to try without.
