Maybe false hope but the entreaty to book a service for updates has disappeared from the My Porsche app which gives me hope it has had a 12V battery fitted and updated ready to be on its way to the dealer like others here :)

Just had another update from SA (email 7pm on a Saturday night), having arrived in Emden 09/11 is now on a ship and on it's way! Appears to have only been at Emden ~3 days, hopefully as quick when it lands in the UK in the next day or so.

At least you’re getting proper updates from your SA. This was my last update on Tusaday…

“…I am still waiting for the system to update, I am checking daily and I cant wait to give you the good news.”

Car apparently built on the 1st. Will have to demand the build schedule screenshot to see what’s hokey and what real.

I ordered my tacan ST 4s in January this year and had a phone call from dealer this week saying it’s waiting to be shipped from emdon to Grimsby and should be with me this month. The myporsche app still says scheduled for production. I ordered the Bose upgraded so I’m very surprised it’s on the way.

I've got some sympathy for the SA who take the brunt from customers, certainly the one I've been dealing with at Nottingham OPC has touched base once a month even if it was "no update" I don't think they know any more than we do, mine shared the usual system status screenshots but was in the dark over exactly what was happening with cars stuck due to the 12v issue.

Communication from Porsche GB / AG seems to be non-existent to OPC or customers. Hasn't been a great experience for someone new to the brand.

Likewise! I appreciate that most supply chain issues are outwith Porsche's control however basic customer service is sadly lacking.

My SA messaged me today with an update. Dates have moved to the right by two weeks. At least he’s keeping in touch and I can’t complain about the current delay, it’s nothing compared to what others are experiencing.

Mine moved out by two weeks too so overall 3 weeks later than originally scheduled. Interestingly we went past my CP 0.0 date without a new date showing so on the 8th November it was still showing expected entry to bodyshop on 5th Nov but later dates all went out by 2 weeks from previous update about 3 weeks ago.

To be honest I expected the delay given everything that has been posted on here recently. My SA also believes the dates could move again so it’s a game of wait and see and I’ll wait for the next update.

That said, getting a VIN will be a nice milestone but I won’t be putting money down on a date lol.

Yes to be clear I’m not giving my SA a hard time. Far from it actually. Although I agree with the above. I’m new to the brand and this isn’t a spectacular display of customer service or a wonderful customer experience by Porsche.

All the goodwill they generate through things like the PEC drive day vaporise when they can’t get basic comms sorted.

Even a tacit acknowledgment that things have gone thoroughly pear shaped but you know we’re going to see you right…would be a start.

Give Porsche 6 months and you'll be able to option Customer Services.

£360 + VAT

"Get friendly, timely updates from your dealer about nothing*, and acknowledgement that you do still exist to Porsche UK and are a real person".

*Nothing can turn into something in 24 months of waiting.

Well I got the email - apparently my missing battery has finally materialised and it should be loaded on the boat for delivery soon!

Still undecided on PPF vs Ceramic vs Nothing….
I’m going ppf front/sides and ceramic the rest. I’ve also had ceramic before all over and it is worth the investment imo. Ignore Porsche’s option of whatever fancy (not so fancy), wax they put on, that’s a rip off. I have a local specialist detailer I trust who will do it for me.

Me too (with ceramic all over). I've never bothered on previous vehicles, but the shock of an early prominent stone chip on the front apron- revealing the black plastic underneath- overcame my indecision about whether to get PPF.
