General questions for my new RWD

I got my RWD for one month. It runs fantastic. I do appreciate you could help for several problems.

1. my cell phone got lost and I got a new one. I installed myporsche app on the new iphone.
How to connect my new iphone to the car? Just by bluetooth?

2. I installed the NEMA 14-50 in the garage by Romex wire 6/3, Hubbell 9450 receptacle. The charging is going well at 100%, except the breaker is warm to touch.
Should I replace the breaker? Could you recommend a good breaker?

3. I plan to do PPF for the whole car and got two quotes:
A. $4100 using Nano Fusion, wrap by the edge;
B. $6500 using Xpel, pre-cut from Xpel software, wrap by edge only for the hood;
Which one you would pick?

I have Xpel and it seems to do the job well. I think I've washed the car twice since February. It always looks clean, however I've never spent so much for something I cannot see,, cannot feel, and cannot taste.

Current (over resistance) produces heat. And it doesn’t take much to “feel warm”.

Do you know what temperatures it’s actually reaching?

Get a cheap laser thermometer. Can be used for grilling/smoking meats, too.

Infrared thermometer (temp gun).

FWIW, I just felt mine. It’s been charging for 90 min at 75A and both the 125A sub panel breaker and the 100A branch circuit breaker are “warm to touch”. But my thermometer is at work so I can’t check it.

That doesn’t mean yours isn’t a problem, but I would say that if it’s just “warm” and doesn’t even feel “uncomfortably hot” to touch, then it’s likely not an issue.

You haven't licked your car even once? Or you have, and the film is tasteless?
As for how to see it: cut an 'x' with a sharp scalpel on the hood, and gently peel back the corners of the cut, leaving them up in the air. You'll see the film every time you walk up to the car - guaranteed.

(I'm sure it's needless to say it, but this is tongue in cheek.)

This lowers the labor complexity for them, and also minimizes the chance they nick your paint if they were cutting the film by hand. With that said, a "bulk install" where they cut it by hand can be nicer. Or they can use pre cut and increase the cut margin so they can wrap.

Wrapped edges are a double edged sword. They can look very nice because you won't be able to find the seam on many panels. But wrapped edges are a bit more likely to peel than a non wrapped edge. But you do have a warranty.

As far as film brand goes, I would use whatever the installer felt best about that has a nationwide warranty. Many of the small wrap shops may not be around in 5 years so you want something to fall back on.

Are you wrapping the glass roof? I never wrap the glass roof, and it takes a fair bit of the costs. This is a 100% depreciating mod, you won't get a single dime for it when you sell or trade your taycan, so I wouldn't go overboard.

What color is your Taycan? I only do a full wrap on black cars and collector "forever" cars.

Even without wrapping, modern PPF will perform very well over time. Wrapping is preferred for additional insurance against peeling as well as the aesthetics and to avoid the “dirt line” you would see over time with lighter colored vehicles.

The color of my car is FB and I am planning to keep at least 5 years. No PPF to the glass roof.

I know PPF will not add any extra value on resale. I hope at least it could make maintainence easier and relieve some of the anxiety on daily use.
