Still no dice - in Benecia since 12/23. Confirmed no holds, so I think holidays/weather just got in the way. I am out of country in a week so hoping to square this away before.

Same thing with me — car has been at Benicia since the 23rd. Walnut Creek Porsche told me they thought I would have it this week, but are now blaming the rain for the delay.

Wishful thinking for me. I’m on Courage with PECLA delivery. I’m hoping that those that are sitting at Benicia are waiting on Courage and we can leave right away so I can get my car. I’d hate to see delays at the port.

Courage has departed San Diego, heading to Benicia now. Hilariously TYD still says I’m “On Vessel”, though I’m sure they didn’t leave without unloading my car.

You never know. Er, I mean, eventually you will know, only much later.

I've noticed that, once the ship approached the destination port, TYD reflected the location of the ship in near-real time. (VesselFinder did, too.) The boat is now underway, but the car's position remains unchanged, back at the docks. Whether it was driven off, or it fell in the drink - I don't know, but either way it doesn't look like they forgot it on board the ship.

Perhaps picking up a load for a return trip? Empty ships sailing cost money instead of making money, so the most economical way is to sail empty as little as possible.

Scratch my earlier. Lol, TYD was probably an intern project. The car is on the move again, with dotted lines to Veracruz (the boat’s next stop), and more dotted lines back to Houston, and then to the dealer.

I think that the milestone advancement is a manual or automatic edit from the Porsche backend. While it’s in a current milestone, TYD will use standard mapping controls to show the (past) path to the current position, and also to plot the remaining journey. In the “on vessel” stage in particular, it’ll try to obtain the current position from the boat tracking services.
So, since the “on vessel” stage hasn’t completed, we’re seeing strange routes.

(Either that, or the car was really forgotten on the boat. Or it’s being towed.)(This evoked for me that old Audi ad, showing an A6 being towed underwater in Hong Kong port, with some nowadays-no doubt-cringy text about contraband.)
