Mine got picked up by Porsche Assistance yesterday due to broken heater on MY21 4S.
The towman said he had quite a few when weather became really cold a few weeks ago around here.
No word yet from the workshop when I can expect it back. Driving now a Golf GTI as a loaner. Also fun, but different kind of fun. And more fun than a base Macan they had offered me as an alternative.

They put me in a loaded up Macan, I can honestly say I am enjoying the ride.

Good luck with your car, I will post once I have an update on mine.

Mine also packed up last Saturday, Porsche Assist advised to wait till week commencing 30th Jan for a recovery. I chose to drive into Porsche Hatfield, on Monday, got a call today part ordered, could take two weeks…

Enterprise dropped off a 4 year old C class Merc, claiming it’s a premium car, it drives like a tank and well tired…,

complained to Enterprise, they said they no cars, so many Taycan’s recovered the last few days.

clearly not good enough, so emailed

[email protected]

The Porsche CEO with my dissatisfaction…,

Writing directly to the CEO gets action, I typed and mailed (not email) a letter to him about the charging issues (cutting power by 50%). They called me within a week and sent me the new 19.2kw home charger at no charge. It was the right thing to do!

Like others have complained here, I have also a defective heater although the air blows but same temperature as what it pulls from outside. Temperatures here in Switzerland are in negative zone so nearly impossible to drive the car for any drive longer than 30 minutes as feet get freezing etc.

Have my car booked in for next week, but they don't know how long it will be in for as they first need to diagnose. So much for telemetry and OTA all that 'welcome to the future' stuff that was supposed to happen.

Taycan is my 4th P car, and in 1 year of ownership so far the Taycan alone has had more unscheduled dealer visits than my 3 other P cars in the combined 8 years I have had them;
  • charing port replaced,
  • interior alarm random issues,
  • crashing infotainment that wouldn't restart for days,
  • LTE modem that works 50% of the time – still not 100% fixed,
  • media favourites that would get regularly deleted until infotainment update a few weeks ago,
  • phantom emergency braking,
  • ACC sensor failure,
  • heating failure
  • and yesterday failure of all outdoor cameras
Insane. Thank god it's a lease.

This one will not be permanently joining the fleet. Can't wait for the lease to be over despite the great pleasure I get from driving the car, when it works.

I’m sorry to hear of continued heating issues.

I might be able to collect my brand new Taycan GTS in next few days after the heating issue was detected at PDI - ahead of me collecting on 4 December 2022. This would have taken around 7 weeks from when issue was first detected.

As you can imagine, brand new car that I’ve not yet collected arriving faulty from the factory (my car was manufactured on 7 November 2022)

The Porsche CEO with my dissatisfaction…,
Try the Porsche Centre Business Manager as well.
My car was delayed and after contacting the Business Manager things changed.
I had Taycan’s for the weekend and quite a bit of stuff on delivery day.

Update:
Broken heater confirmed, as expected. Spare parts ordered, probably arriving next week.

YES!! Though I had got away with this, especially as the car is garaged overnight. But NO pre-heat this morning Brrr… ..drove straight to my suppling OPC (Porsche South London) – they immediately took it in to workshop for diagnosis as it could either be heater failure or an issue with ventilation A/C /heating dampers but confirmed heater failure part ordered They will repair while I wait once they get the new heater – 1 to 2 weeks. For me at the moment the fault seems intermittent and that combined with heated seats /steering wheel means I’ve decided to keep the car rather that have an Enterprise pot luck car!

If mine happens that’s what I’ll do, does anyone know how long the actual repair takes, once in stock, is than an couple of hours thing you could wait on, taking your laptop and work at dealer, or is it a multiday thing. I hate garages that don’t commit to slots and where you have to hand over your car for 2 or 3 days for a 3h repair window.

Its 9 hrs to fit so basically a whole day. Thats one of the issues, its taking dealerships so long to fit.

My dealer took a day to fit it, but they also wanted to test it again the next morning, to be certain it was working properly.

Thank you for emailing Jonathan Mannell, interim CEO of Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB). Given the nature of Jonathan’s role, he does not always have the capacity to respond to customers directly and to ensure you receive a timely response to your concerns, Jonathan has kindly asked that I look into your query.

Firstly, I would like to begin by offering my deepest apologies that you feel you have had to reach out to our CEO, in light of your current quality concerns you have faced with your Taycan heater issue and your dissatisfaction with the loan vehicle you have been provided. I understand that when failures such as these occur, it can be of great disappointment and cause much unrest.

When purchasing a Porsche vehicle, our customers expect the very highest build quality, reliability and excellent all round performance. However, despite all the quality controls during the course of manufacture, regrettably on occasions, vehicle components do not perform to our high expectations and can spontaneously fail. I fully understand your frustration in the situation and have escalated your concerns to Peter Jiggins the Centre Principal at Porsche Centre Hatfield to ascertain a timescale of when the part will be available.

Once your Taycan is fixed, Porsche would like to look into providing a goodwill gesture for the overall experience you have received for both issues.

If there is anything further I can assist with please let me know.

Kindest regards

Sara Hammond

Thanks. I’ve written to Jonathan as my brand new Taycan GTS (due for collection on 4.12.22) is still at the dealership. I’m finally collecting on Saturday 21 January 2023.

I am talking to Porsche UK tomorrow about the overall experience and compensation.
