Should be - has the car ever had its heater replaced yet?
I was in for the following services last year. Never really asked them what they have done :headbang: It doesn't look like it has been replaced based on :
  • #ARB6 CHECK HVB CELL BLOCK MODULES AND REPROGRAM BMCE SOFTWARE
  • Maintenance inspection completed 20,000 mile service performed
    • Antifreeze/coolant flushed/changed Battery/charging system checked Brakes checked
    • Brake fluid flushed/changed
    • Drive belts checked High voltage battery charged
    • Tire condition and pressure checked Vehicle washed/detailed

Should be covered. Original heater version is a known weakness.

No heat in the car today for me also.
Call me crazy but this is exactly the next day after my Porsche connect subscription ran out.

It would be an absolute stupid bug but at the same time the timing is uncanny, and I have seen worse programming issue in my career.

Bringing the car to the dealership tomorrow morning, we ll see!

I read that the taycan heaters don't last long. I hope Porsche has fixed that!
I have a MY23 and the dealer changed my heater on October 2024 even though it did not fail yet. They did it proactively part of a recall. According the the dealer Porsche started fitting a new heater that is more reliable that’s why they decided to do recalls. Also they told me that Porsche extended the warranty for the heater specifically even if you don’t have an extended warranty. It is covered for 4 or 5 years I don’t remember (I didn’t care because I took a warranty for 5 years anyway.)

Oh, i wonder if i would get a new one in swiss or this extended heater warranty. Didn't hear of this happening in Switzerland, that being said my initial heater from 2020 still works just fine - or maybe i just don't notice it not working fine?
I wonder how much people that had them fail used them... i can't stand it going above 23.5 degrees even in the coldest days, usually at 22.5

I thought it was a global replacement programme.

Certainly a known recall in the UK.

Surprised that you still have not had any replacement done by Porsche. I am on my 4th unit now.
You must have had your car in for service in the last two years, but perhaps you did not want a replacement?

And in Switzerland you will know that it fails in winter time. For sure!

Mysteriously my heater came back on when I was driving to work. When the car is parked it seems to stop working

No, they never mentioned to me anything about a free replacement. I didn't exactly ask either, so there's that.

But so far the initial heater the car shipped with in 2020 works and had no problems;
I will ask however when i go for my next "2 year" check sometime this year (earlier due to high km). Might as well have the new one, rather than end up with one broken in a bad moment ?

MY23. Same issue here, complete loss of heating. Good that is warm outside today with -1 C.

Another dealer visit...

I’m doing the backup camera recall and service flagged be for 12v work order and heater replacement. 21 4S, think this will be the second heater

To its credit it worked through the mid west super cold winter

My car was originally delivered 2 months late due to lack of heater units available (was in early 2023). I assumed that they eventually put in an improved part before delivery.

But unfortunately not. Today I lost all heat and car has now been picked up by Porsche Assistance to get it replaced.

Luckily my 4 hour drive today was cancelled due to a flight cancellation so only a minor inconvenience for me. Except of cause that I have a Cupra Born as a loaner :p
