Hi, yes the discount shown brings the rate down to 10p/kwh
Works well, one or two minor issues as reported earlier. It dies send what appear to be strange Profiles which appear in the car as "Enode" and Timers but I think I have worked out why it does that.
As long as you set the soc and time required using the the Charge Anytime App it will be 10p/kwh. If you hit the charge now button it will be at 32.59p/kwh. I have manged to avoid any full price charging so far. ...
I sometimes tweak the Timer and Profile in the My Porsche App to make the car call for a charge.
Unless you have solar or a battery it is by far the best deal available
Sounds good. Apologies if i missed it above, but does switching to this tariff still benefit from capped charges (on the domestic bit) do you know?

Yes the basic tariff is subject to the price cap hence 32.59p... it varies slightly by region.

I have just spoken to Ovo who passed me from dept. to dept. trying to get info on their Charge Anytime tariff and they told me that it was not available at present. This seems to contradict previous posts. I am not sure that this could be the case but the reason they gave is that energy is short!

That is hilarious!
It was the same when I was trying to get to the bottom of the tariff. I spotted a few people on the Taycan Uk Owners Facebook group had managed to get onto the Anytime tarfiff by hassling OVO as existing customers so I registered inteest in Charge Anytime then made the switched thinking, at least I will be ready for Charge Anytime when it is rolled out generally. I switched on February 15th. My IHD immediately showed a message saying Gas meter initialised but it was another 2 days before I got a second message that the electricity meter was initialised after which I was able to log into the OVO Energy App. I then downloaded the Charge Anytime App, logged in using the same account details and was able to link to My Porsche account id.

Clearly there is no guarantee they will let you add Charge Anytime straight away but if you are not already on an EV tariff I would give a go.

I have been using Charge Antime for 10 days now and so far it as saved me £36.91 on 163.5kwh of charging which equates to a saving of 22.58p off my stanard rate of 32.59p (there is a rounding error of 1p !)

I think that I am disadvantaged because I am an Octopus customer and not an existing customer of OVO. I have emailed Porsche to enquire if they will be making Taycan compatible with the Intelligent Octopus tariff but I am not confident that this will be anytime soon.

I think it is Octopus that needs to make their intelligent tariff compatible with the Taycan. I didn't think the Go tariff would provide any meaningful savings because of the circa 9p premium they add to the daytime rate and I didn't reckon I could shift much of my household consumption to 12.30 to 04.30 hours other than maybe the dishwasher and an occasional washing machine and tumble dryer use.
Hence I just decided to switch to OVO and chance my arm on being able to use Charge Anytime, which thankfully worked straight away on completion of the switch.

So you were an Octopus customer and made a recent switch to OVO in the quest for their Charge Anytime tariff ? Octopus seem to imply that they are waiting for car manufacturers to make their models capable of integrating with their software.

Yes, I was Octopus and switched to OVO Simpler Engery tariff on the 15th Feb and was and was able to start using Charge Anytime on the 17th Feb.

It has taken me a couple of weeks to work out how the Kaluza software works but now I understand I have managed to avoid having to hit the Charge Now button to charge at full price.
Charge Anytime sends a profile called Enode to the Taycan this has a min charge equal to the soc you require so it forces the car to start charging straight away. It also sends a series of Timers to the car with what appear to be random ready by times often 2 days after when I require the car to reach the required soc. By regularly updating the Timer they can get the car to start and stop charging. The only issue with this is setting preconditioning. If I adjust the Timer using the My Porsche App to align with the settings in the Charge Anytime App and switch on preconditioning then when I check in thd morning a new Timer has often replaced the one I set and no preconditioning. I now always check the Timer in the My Porsche App when I get up in the morning and then adjust it if necessary to add preconditioning. As I'm always up at least an hour before I need the car this isn't an issue.

So it screws up any timers for pre-conditioning by the sound of it. Does this also apply if you want to leave with 100% charge? I don't do this often, but if I am going on a long trip I do occasionally set 100% charge with pre-conditioning so that I also have a warm battery. Does that work?

It sounds like there is a bit of overall hassle and things not quite working as they should, but that there is quite a significant saving to compensate.

Yep screws up timer at 100% as well. Most Mondays I do a 212 mile road trip so charge to 100% and pre condition to 21.5°c I am up about an hour plus before departure time so either just manually switch on preconditioning in the App or adjust whatever timer has been sent to the car to finish at my departure time and precondition to desired temperature. Once you know how Kaluza manages the charging it is no real hassle to add preconditioning before you travel. Of course if you roll out of bed and want to depart 5 mins later it might be a problem ?
The saving without a premium on household rate is well worth a little inconvenience.

I was about to switch but we are soon (I hope) to have solar panels installed. And it won’t work with solar panels unless you have the Indra pro EVSE - which I don’t. So haven’t switched

That's great, glad you were able to get straight onto the Charge Anytime App.
A couple of tips....
Keep the min Charge in the Charge Anytime App at 5% then you'll only be charged the full price if you arrive home with less than 5% soc
To get it to charge straight away or at least as soon as tweak the timer or Profile in the My Porsche App or in the car to call for a charge straight away by setting a soc and ready time such means it needs to start charging immediately.
So far I've not had to hit the Charge Now button ?

I’m on OVO as I used to be SSE and they moved me there a few months back. So jumped on Charge Anytime and I find it a much better proposition than 4hrs off peak.

It’s flexible enough so you can always wake up to a full car should you need it. Easy to use and most importantly no impact on house tariff.

The only weird thing I found is that my Andersen A2 keeps throwing power supply faults now… might be unrelated but I’ll have to ring Andersen ??‍♂
