Has anyone noticed in the configurator that you cannot select the Mission E Wheels that automatically adds the PSCB brakes? Dealer told me that they are on backorder and any car with them in the build are on hold. No estimated date when they will be be back in stock. Anyone hear anything on when they will be back?

Heaven forbid they should supply the wheels without the unnecessary brake upgrade.

The Wheels section in the configurator for a Taycan 4S has been broken for me for days. Any selection other than the 19” options simply defaults back to 19” Taycan S Aero wheels, even if you accept changes.

I thought the configurator is where you can dream :giggle:… and not necessarily tied to current supply? Or at least present a message, if this is expected behavior. Otherwise, it just feels like a broken configurator experience (again).

The same thing was happening to me. I thought it was a software issue.

Yesterday, the GM at my dealership was modifying an allocation he had ready to lock next week to my build and called me back to say the PSCB are not available. He was not sure when they would be, but the order is sitting ready, but cannot start due to that. Not sure why wheels without the PSCB would not get selected unless a software issue.

Configurator appears to have a bug.

Found a workaround by selecting all-season tire option for the appropriate wheel size first, instead of desired wheel.

Works with base Taycan with Mission-E and PSCB.

Good find! I think we should put our names in as freelance Quality Assurance analysts for the Porsche Digital team...

Well at least you can get the correct pricing and picture of the car LOL Any orders are on pause. Dealer even hinted it could be quite a long wait.

I've got a car currently in build with PSCB's... started 2/28 and projected build completion 3/10. Certainly an unfortunate circumstance for you. Hoping the just-in-time manufacturing keeps mine going through the process (until I run into the heater supply issue at the port). I'll keep you posted.

And you're right... at least I can still use the configurator again (workarounds and all!)

Weird transaction going on for me. I have a '21 and the dealer is working a trade for me to get a '23 as mine has been down with the red electrical error. Original delivery to dealer he said was May, but when he made the changes to my spec, we found out about the PSCB. Here is the timeline from TYD.

So without PSCB's, no more Turbo production, or is Porsche upgrading all Turbos to PCCB's for free? Or are they building cars without brakes and retrofitting at the port or dealer?

Not an issue in UK - any and all wheel selections and brakes available.

I just tried the US configurator with 4S CT, no problems adding PSCB's. I did find an Interesting behaviour though - if you start with the standard 19" wheels and add PSCB, the configurator will tell you that you must select a 21" wheel to go with it (few options presented, no 20" option). However, if you select a 20" wheel before selecting the PSCB, no issues adding it. Obviously PSCB's work with 20" wheels, I have that combination on my car.

Maybe the shortage is Mission-E wheels, not PSCB's.

Just relaying what the dealer advised me when we were finalizing the changes to an inventory allocation he had that he let me take over.

The Build your Porsche was not letting me select the Mission E online so when he mentioned that the PSCB were on shortage, it made me think that was why the configurator was not allowing the selection. I am sure the configurator is not a true representation of parts on hand :) just seemed to be a coincidence.

I will report back as I have to give him a call today.

Darn, I wish this happened to me. I probably would've just forked up the extra 5k for the carbons...:p
