As far as I know, mine still has the old style heater as it was completed in January. It is still unclear to me that Porsche has even approved a newer style and is placing them into the Taycans being held and then into the production line vehicles. I am moving back to Minnesota next year, and will be demanding a new heater is installed before leaving Texas, as the vehicle will be undriveable in winter conditions in the Twin Cities without a heater (lots of single digits and below zero temps). Should people in the US who have been affected start posting their issues to the NHTSA site? It may force a recall faster, but it cannot produce parts any faster.
Fyi, besides the heater, in case you missed it:

So we have no formal information from the Factory but it seems that all Taycans are being held at ports, hauliers for a replacement heater but the factory are prioritising used cars with faulty heaters which is understandable. No information when these held cars will be delivered.

Dealers have no information but are predicting up to 6 month delay. My car is one of those. It was elivered to the French haulier 2 weeks ago and still no information. I have no choice but to wait and complain with the lack of information but at some point I will cancel my order and wait for a MY24. Surely Porsche realise many others will do the same. I'm also not keen on a car parked up in a field for 6 months.

This is a massive embarrassment to Porsche and they are trying to hide it from new customers. Very poor and totally unacceptable.
So my 2023 4S ct arrived last week at the dealer without any hoods or delay. Any way to know if I am in the clear or not?

You can ask the dealer but the factory seems to be withholding all information at the moment.

So we put down a deposit, and the car has arrived at port. If we refuse to accept delivery, do we lose the $5k?

Depends on the contract you signed, and/or local laws, possibly amount of good will from the dealer.

I have a MY22 and not aware of a heater problem. So that I don't need to read what is now 7 pages of posts, can someone tell me if the heater issue affects models already delivered from MY22?

FWIW I have no complaints about my heater....

The heater issue affects all the cars. They even have some built with the defective heater. They are trying to retrofit and that is why the cars on sitting waiting on the part at ports.

This heater saga reminds me of the 12V battery shortage, but compounded by the fact that all existing cars need replacements (ok, maybe ones out of warranty will be excluded if the heater lasted that long). It does make me think however - according to their own media messaging, Porsche spent many YEARS testing the Taycan in the extreme heat and cold, WTF were they doing? Testing mission-E prototypes, declared them good to go, then redesigned individual parts and shipped them without testing?!? If they are going to copy Tesla in that regard (Tesla does this all the time), they really need to get the OTA going first (Tesla can deploy updates in less than 24 hrs to the entire fleet of many more cars than Taycans are out there), make the car a lot more software defined (allows for many more software workarounds issues), shorten their design to production times by a factor of 4 or greater, and get their supply chain shored up. The longest I ever had to deal with an untested Tesla redesigned part was 3.5 months, during which Tesla replaced the physical part 3 times, the 3rd was a fixed part which didn't fail in a couple of weeks of use - it was a motorized side mirror assembly.
