UK Taycan Salary Sacrifice Waiting Times

I’m in >100 miles category which should result in it being transported to me (as opposed to driven to me) but I am very tempted to go and collect myself when the time comes, depending on dates/availability.

By the way @Jin - I have tried to add to the SS tracker but my original delivery date estimate (Nov or Dec 2022) is being flagged as an invalid entry hence added my timelines in a post in this thread.

Will be definitely collecting.. can’t bear the thought of someone driving it down to me and thrashing it en route.
A trip to Cambridge it will be for me (when it ever arrives). Probably wishful thinking that I’d be able to arrange they deliver/pdi at one of their sister dealers (a part of the same Jardines franchise)?! The Porsche South London centre is 5 miles away from me

I think due to Salary Sacrifice contract requirements- its either pick up or it will be transported, not driven too you.

When the time comes I intend to make a bit a trip/outing, train into London for a night in a nice hotel, go have a nice meal the next day train it to Cambridge Porsche, then enjoy a nice 4/5 hour drive back, ideally on the A roads avoiding the motorway if I can.

I ordered a 4 CT Nov 21, currently on a boat, so expecting delivery within the 2 weeks.

I originally ordered (personally not through a SS scheme), back when Porsche finance was around 6% (now 10%) and back when the base price was £81k.

My employer offered a SS scheme last autumn. After numerous calls and investigations, my SS scheme provider Tusker were able to take the order and transfer it into fleet sales. Tusker deals with the owner of Strathstone dealerships, Pendragon. Since the the transfer happen, its been ok, except the MyPorsche app still stuck at stage 2...

I will be collecting the car from my dealership, but on last conversation with Tusker they need to get approval from my employer (for fox sake). Also, it seems Porsche/Tusker do not seem to be communicating as Tusker are unaware that the car even got a build slot, which is worrying.

will confirm if the collection works/finance is in place in the next 2 weeks

Done also. An hour after typing this I received an email from porsche Cambridge querying my cancellation as they just got through my build slot and to lock spec in if I want to continue for beginning of July Times work out delivery to late Aug/Sep. Ships sailed as far as I am concerned. As great as the car is, not worth delaying my early retirement plans any further for. Good luck to all waiting, at least itll bring one of you forward on the wait list.

I've posted elsewhere they did this to me so I cancelled too for similar reasons.

I've now got an EQS premium, got a great deal and I'm happy enough and have a bit more cash than I would've done even if they hadn't increased the price of the Taycan.

I love cars but at the end of the day it is just a material possession, it looks like my love of cars is over which is great news for my bank balance/retirement plans so I should be thanking Porsche/Lex really

Tusker has called me, they will delivery to the dealership and they do not need permission from my employer. Also, they confirmed that there should be no problems on collect, as in finance sorted and also Porsche connect can happen without Tusker intervention. We shall see....

Have the salary sacrifice orders (through OPC Cambridge in particular) received updates/PEC invite from Porsche GB?

Asking as I have heard nothing, even though my Taycan is built and currently at Emden.

This only came to light when I booked the PEC (having gotten the reference number to quote from the OPC due to lack of invite) but didn’t receive the confirmation email. Called them and they advised the leasing company’s email was attached to the build, which was annoying.

I have possibly missed out on any tracking update emails etc but the main thing is the car is built. Also I have registered for My Porsche app but clearly it doesn’t think I have any order in process.

My current timeline for GTS saloon:

Ordered end of Jan 2022. Initial estimate was Nov 2022 which I thought was optimistic.

After numerous delays, news of an allocation came through in Jan 2023 for an April build, later delayed to a May build due to the heater issue.

My car is at Emden. If everything now goes smoothly, I may have the car at the end of this month or more likely early June.

It’s still in Emden so May delivery is becoming increasingly unlikely.

I ordered a Cherry Metallic 4S late September 2021 and finally it’s at the dealers, 21 months later, is this a record? It’s now Gentian blue as they apparently ran out of Cherry but at least it’s in the UK.

When did your car complete build and exit the factory? Hoping that you’re not caught up in the stop sale nor the quality hold/block!

My spec for the car was locked down on the 14th of April 2023.
Build was schedule for late May 2023, which appears to have been correct.
Apparently it arrived at Sheerness around the 12th June and was at the Colchester dealership by 19th June though I did have to message them to get this confirmed.
Currently being told they can deliver to Aberdeen on the 6th July.
Fingers crossed........................

Spoke to Lex last week who in turn queried Porsche - just got told it’s under additional quality control and can’t offer any revised dates as yet. At least our cars have each other to talk to ?

decided to give Cambridge a poke to see how my order through Lex was going... not great news!

my 4S order was placed in Oct 22 and was told to expect delivery end of Q1 2024. Given it was nearly half way through that timeline, I thought I'd see how things were going.

Been told the 4S has one of the largest outstanding order demands and that allocations from Germany have been in very small numbers. They're currently allocating order demands placed in Nov 2021! Not expecting an update until 2024 (not even a mention of a quarter now)..
