New Porsche Recall/"Stop sell" - any details?

I ordered in Nov 2021, promised delivery was May 2022, I got my car in Februari 2023. If that counts as leading me on then yes In the end I didn't believe them anymore obviously. Near 2023 I was promised to get it before 2023. To make matters worse, the car broke down (faulty battery) after two months of ownership. I'm looking at getting it back end of August 2023 now. I hope you all have more luck than me.

When you ordered, it would have been a 22 model year car. Did you get a model year 22 or 23 in the end? If they did eventually build it as a 23, did they try to stick you with the price increase?

I received a 23
The price remained the same because that’s how the rules/law is in Belgium. In the Netherlands the price would have increased for example.

Ok, so mine has officially dropped back into the “we dont actually know when it will leave Emden” camp. The car has nothing wrong and wasn’t in the stop problem, but because it’s been at the port for over 50 days it now needs additional checks to be able to leave. They confirmed yesterday that they have no idea when this will happen, some time in the next month or two perhaps. They wouldn’t even confirm if I’d have it by September. I’m not sure how they run such a successful business with this kind of performance… back in the countdown to never getting the car, sadly

I'm curious because our car, that Porsche started building two months ago, is still not finished. If it slips any more it's probably going to come out as a 24.

I’d hate to have the jobs of the poor buggers who have to make these calls to frustrated customers and have their hands tied with what they can say. They must feel like someone who’s walked into a children’s hospital telling the children that Santa isn’t real and the tooth fairy was their parents all the time… sorry spoiler alert. I must remember to thank them for the update next they give me no news as it cant be easy.

Indeed. Either we just continue to wait patiently and accept our cars will be ready when they are ready or eventually give up and cancel.

Yep indeed! I did say yesterday that if i didn’t have a “your cars on a vessel” update within a fortnight id be cancelling the order and buying something else. Like many others in here, it just gets you down and you feel like an over privileged arse asking for updates and being annoyed.
