I’m joining the October 2023 Deliveries - My dealer delivery date just slipped from 9/21 to 10/12. Car has been at the Baltimore Port since 8/31. I guess they’ve decided to test the battery sealant prior to releasing to the dealership…?

Received a call from the SA that I’ve been dealing with, he confirmed that the car is being held at the B-More port for testing of the battery sealant.

Well that's maybe good. You'll have a factory tech with experience performing the testing doing the work. In my case with the car at the dealer it's going to be the first time the tech has attempted to do the procedure.

This was the earlier estimate.

Build finished on 1st September BIUT delay caused by:
- 2 weeks in Porsche Exclusive Manifaktur
- 1 week for the importer to generate the registration paperwork.
- as this is MY2024, no delay for battery testing mentioned.

Im almost exactly the same time line as you. Car arrived in Sheerness last week and could be with the dealer this week or next - hoping for collection end of next week or early the week after.

Interested to know what you selected to trigger 'Exclusive Manifaktur' to be a specific part of your build (PTS?). I selected some options that were listed as 'Exclusive Manifaktur' but its not had anything specifically list in the build timelines. My (yes short!) delays were caused at Emden due to lorry driver strikes.

I suspect the first date is when money was put down reserving that allocation. That's the only thing that makes sense in our case. Our TYD indicates March 3 2022 for Purchase order Confirmed even though we put our allocation deposit down in August 2022. But there was a person waiting on an allocation ahead of us who declined, so that date is when they put down money.

Interesting. My experience was very different. I put the deposit down in September of 2022, but the "Purchase Order Confirmed" date was set when I got the allocation in February of 2023. From there it was only like ten days to the freeze date.

@bn8959 It’s a bit hard to know what exactly triggered the delay in Porsche Exclusive Manifaktur, but I suspect that it’s part of the Oleo Black+Atacama beige where for the additional (optional) leather, I have chosen Atacama stitching for the black leather pieces.

I was told that the GTS ST allocations were the issue. Initially they mentioned that the allocation would come in August of ’22 types and the delivery could roll into 2023. In the mean time, my lease for Audi E-tron finished and I ended up buying an X5 PHEV .. thanks to delays.
