Taycan 21 inch snow tires?

Hello,

I have Taycan 4s. I want to fit 21 inch snow tires. I've heard some talk about this being disapproved. Is there anyone who can inform about this?

Most people get smaller wheels for their snow tires; the view is that you are changing to snow tires for better traction, and you’ll get better traction with smaller wheels. But what you want is definitely possible, as it has been done by many (probably not the majority, however).

I run Michelin Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 on 21", they came with the car from Porsche.
As they have the same dimensions as my summer set, indeed they are not ideal for snow/slush unless surfing is on the agenda. But compared to summer tires they are awesome also in Nordic Winter conditions.

Resurrecting this thread - Explorer can you post the exact spec of the tyres - speed rating, etc. i need some of these and going round in circles a bit.

Back 305/30 R21 Load Index 104 (900kg) speed rating V (240km/h) XL (XtraLoad) FSL (rim protection strip)

240kmh not an issue wrt tires, more my driving license ;-)
They are of course much softer than the summer tires, can be felt esp when temp is over 7-8C and accelerating for overtakes. However that is the trade off to keep grip below 5C.
Width on slush and snow, they float easier than slimmer ones. The weight of the Taycan keeps it on the road, not floating, much better compared w my 992 with similar set-up during winter. Go for it!
