Thank you Gramorris. I will do the same. What colour did you go for? I went for flat white, with black gloss trims. Looking forward to seeing how it shapes up in the flesh.
Volcano grey. Now I think about it without the wheels or interior it’ll look exactly the same as all the other volcano cars in the production photos!

I like Volcano grey. To be fair, the car looks great in any colour.

That is a beautiful colour. I bet you can't wait to see it in the metal.
Yeah, it's a pretty big leap of faith. I saw a couple of BMW Thundernight Metallics in the wild, and was ecstatic to find out that Porsche offered something in the same ballpark on the Taycan that was, if anything, a bit more understated.

BMW's description of it, however, is exactly the color I want - that deep sensuous electric violet that makes you think of the background color of the night sky during a thunderstorm as the negative-ion-charged air invigorates your soul.

Looks like Crystal Ray is well underway! I'm hoping to get this thing clear film protected and ready to roll before Christmas break!

I'm tentatively pinning my hopes on SFL Composer, currently chugging about the English Channel and scheduled to reach Emden in the next couple of days.

For calibration purposes, that's about the point in time when I got the production photos.
Hi Violuma, have you heard any more on your delivery? When you got your photos, how were you sent them? Will I get an email or a message in the MyPorsche app? Thanks.

TYD is still showing step 7, with 8 scheduled for tomorrow. I have email notification turned on in TYD, so I got emails telling me the photos were there. It was fairly straightforward to download them from the TYD web page. There were 5 in all.

Good to hear. Sounds like yours is close now. We don't have TYD here in the UK, we only seem to have MyPorsche. I will keep checking my messages in there as I assume this is how we get notified here.

Got it, thanks. The color is Viola Metallic. The only other Taycan I've come across on the internet before in that color was a brief unboxing video. A few days ago I was messing around with the stock finder, and it turns out there's another one for sale currently in the Los Angeles area, so mine won't be lonely even here in California.
This is one of my favourite colours.
There was an ultraviolet GTS ST in my dealer yesterday looking smart, I prefer Viola

Partially in your honor, the interior is not black. Well, not entirely black: two-tone Race-Tex in black and slate gray. I have to admit that the name "Ultraviolet" is pretty tough to beat, and I considered it for about the 90 seconds or so that it took to find Viola. The color itself looked too Skittle-y (I believe you have something similar called Smarties, but not sure if they are used as a cliche to describe candy-shell coloration) for my taste.

On tracking your vehicle, here's a summary of how to do it:
I wonder if there have been upgrades to the TYD site that altered things here, because I'm pretty sure that I found the JSON payload you're speaking of, but it is not showing ship identifiers - all of the polyline coordinates needed to draw the map have instead simply been inlined in the data.

In any event, I hit stage 8 overnight (accompanied by a really fast direct personal notification email from my SA within an hour or two), and the ship I was initially banking on is still showing as moored at Emden.

However, for anybody on the US West Coast anticipating delivery in late November or early December, RCC Classic left Emden hours ago with next port of call listed as San Diego: https://www.marinevesseltraffic.com/vessels/RCC-CLASSIC/CURRENT-POSITION/9441609/311072300, and that's my current best guess as to where our vehicles are.

Stena Glovis's schedule site (I think they still own it), however, doesn't seem to have any record of it - not sure if that means anything.

UPDATE: SA confirms by email that my vehicle is indeed on RCC Classic, which means that ship will indeed proceed to Benicia at some point after it reaches San Diego. Currently it's clinging to the coastline around Exeter for some reason.

Looks like the carrier for my order has made it over to the Pacific and is presently enroute up the west coast of South then Central America! It stopped in Ecuador which took it away from San Diego for a few hours today, but now it's enroute again.

Very exciting!

That's Crystal Ray, right? When did it clear the Panama Canal?
Confirmed. It cleared Panama just a day prior to that post. The strange thing is TYD says the car should be going to San Diego then to my dealer in LA. Instead, the route forecast says it's headed to Benicia.

If it is, in fact, headed to Benicia instead of San Diego, that would be shame as it would burn an additional 1-2 days to get back down to LA after clearing what seems like a lengthy PDI at port based on some other posts. It was also literally pass my area to be trucked further away.

I'm contemplating whether I should drive it back up from LA and risk the rock chips or not!

You lost me at "up". It would seem much more likely to me that your vehicle would disembark at San Diego and truck up to LA than that the Crystal Ray would stop at LA on the way back instead of the way up here (I'm in the general San Francisco area).
