Cost of extended warranty?

Does anyone have any recent pricing for adding a two year Porsche warranty to a car? Car in question still has about 5000 miles remaining of factory warranty but wondered what it would cost to extend.

Also waiting to hear back from dealer.

I am wondering the same thing. I googled the top companies offering extended warranties and put in 4 requests for quotes, should get them back tomorrow so will let you know. I'll be getting a quote from my dealer tomorrow too.
I learned that USAA no longer offers extended car warranties and AAA no longer does in my specific region.

Update: my dealer has not gotten back to me yet but it is now moot- I bought a different used Taycan and this one has enough warranty left that I don't need to extend. If I do hear back though I will post the details.

Just asked this yesterday and got this reply today. Belgium.

1. 1-year + Porsche assistance = €1.787,79 incl taxes
2. 2-year + Porsche assistance = €3.074,79 incl taxes
3. 3-year + Porsche assistance = €4.370,79 incl taxes
4. Administrative cost = €151,25 incl taxes
5. 
   it is important to renew the warranty before the 2 years warranty is over or the car has to go through a 110 point check up. It then would have to pass all these points before the warranty can be renewed. So better to renew it before the official warranty is over. He advised me to do it 4 weeks before the 2 years end. They have to take some pictures for Porsche AG.

We get a 3yr warranty in UK. At least i think/hope we do!

In Belgium we get 2. So in the UK you would have to think about extending at 3 years. You should get message 1.5 months before the end of the warranty.

my lease is for 4 years so I will take 2 more years. Don’t want to pay for all potential fixes my self.

Good advice to take out the extended warranty! In France the warranty is also only 2 years. Which in todays market is way behind many others, but ””its a Porsche”.

I have extended the warranty twice now and have had that repaid many times over. Communiction modules changed twice, faulty High Voltage Batterey Control Unit, heater broken once. And with the recent spell of broken heaters and perhaps LTE modems chocking plus all potential towing and repatriation cost, it has been well worth it.

Remember that the Battery Warranty for 8 years only cover the Battery, but none of the rest of the drive train or any of the charging systems. Purely the Main Battery.

@Scandinavian how much did you pay for the extended warranty? I am also in France and am hesitating to take the warranty. My car is 1 year old and it is a MY23. Not sure whether they already fixed the majority of those problems you mentioned (at least the heater fault) in MY23

After no luck with my local dealer, a forum member recommended Porsche Chandler in Arizona and that's where I purchased a Porsche Platinum with a $250 deductible. A few months ago it was $6k for 8 years, 96,000 miles covering stuff other than HV battery and HV cables. This aligns with my 2020’s battery warranty that has 8 years and 100k miles. Kicks in after the base warranty.

I have 40,000 miles on my Taycan and plan on keeping it until Gen 2 comes out, or 2027, whichever comes first.
