We own one and love it. The color is great and get tons of compliments. But the attention is not for everyone I know. Resale value? I don't know and don't really care because we always keep our cars for a very long time. However, with the number of compliments we got I don't see how it could be bad.

Though Frozen Blue is the one for me, I like all the pastel shades, especially with black accents to make them look more saturated. I'm like yourself- I chose a colour that makes me smile everytime I see it, and wasn't bothered about the implications for resale much later on. I even think, now that there is a glut of used Taycans, that the rarer colours, while perhaps less popular with many prospective buyers, are going to have less competition as they grab the attention of buyers who want something more unusual.

Exactly that, a vehicle is an expense and as long as we like it we buy it. We could care less about resale value. Some people are worried that sales numbers for Taycans have dropped, but to us it just means that it's more rare. We don't want to be on a road and see an identical car next to ours. Now, on the other hand, when we built our home, we made sure that the items we picked would be on a neutral style that does not go out of style. Properties are investments, to us, so we definitely don't go wild with that unless we're prepared to remodel it to put it back to neutral before selling.

. I do still love my current stylish Volcanic grey 4S which has just passed its first MOT and I bought an extended warranty for 2 years. Now a question of do I stump up another £267 for Porsche connect to de-ice the car in the morning. Thoughts please

In Texas, it's extremely hot and I constantly use the app to turn the AC on before getting back into the car so I am definitely paying the fee to renew the service. So, yea, it's a no brainer to me. I've read on here that there was a coupon code for it so maybe you can look into that if it's still available.

When I ordered mine it was between Mamba, Cherry and frozen berry and frozen berry is the only choice left so it is now top of my list.
Monochrome paintwork is very popular in the UK though.

Taycan 2nd hand prices are on the precipice of a high cliff as it is - frozen berry and coffee beige have already gone over the edge (I dearn"t mention Mamba as Frank will get upset)....

I don’t care about depreciation.

I bought my car for me, not to second guess the wants of some future owner with poor taste. ;)

depreciation trends to zero whatever, can’t imagine there’s much difference between the two. If you can handle the price difference, like the colour and the options then go for it - otherwise don’t.

personally I’m waiting on a volcano grey so that’s my colour….. atm
