Tart-tastic door courtesy/puddle lights

Couldn't find the other thread where these were shown, so being pleased with myself and the product thought I'd start a new one.

My car didn't have these optioned... And liking the occasional bit of chintz I thought "why not?".

Aftermarket. Units are at least as good quality as the originals. Takes a couple of minutes per door.

Possibly spread less light than the non-logo ones, but I like em ?

About £75 for all 4.

The only way I'm getting puddle lights is if they can project an animated actual puddle with something like a Betta fish swimming around in it.

I didn't take a video, but have a look here - someone else's video (Other videos are available)

To get them out, you can slide a plastic card (credit card size) between the original puddle light and the door card at the top of the puddle light. The sprung clips (see below) then flatten and the light pops out.

There's a small black plug that connects to the lights for power. The sides of the plug push in and it slides out. All very intuitive.

The housings have 4 plastic lugs, 2 solid ones like hooks, 2 "sprung" plastic. You hook the solid ones over the hole in the door card at the bottom, then push the other side of the light fitting up and in, where the sprung ones clip onto the other side of the door card.

The video shows it quite well. It's really very easy.

No animation but you can get a Betta fish...maybe put in a feature request for animation?

The images look crisp but with just a bit of noticeable wave in each photo. Is that just due to the ground and do any of you have a photo shining on a completely flat surface? I had Audi Sport OEM lights on my last car and they were a very nice touch at night.

I quite fancy some of these but almost never park at night anywhere flat enough to benefit, I have a flint gravel drive

Looks cool. My wife's Audi has OEM projector puddle lights (came with the car) -IIRC they project "eTron". Personally I typically go for function over form, would probably look for a puddle light which lights up the ground better when the door it open.
